For anyone struggling, here's some advice (from Ret Pally + Healer Val perspective):Unlock the codex ability that does an auto interrupt, that's huge. Set Valeera to her interrupt poison. Stagger your healer Valeera hearts as each pickup refreshes the HOT. Turn on audio alerts for interuprable casts. Remember: the add can be cc'd in addition to interrupted.Keep yourself well fed, use a flask, dps pot and drums if you're not a hero class. The dps pot and drums are handy for mercing the add and can give you a little grace if you're having trouble killing them in a timely fashion. I potted 60% and drums at 30%, but you do you.Set up markers for the four quadrants for Simon. In your mind, define up/down/left/right. If you are good at memory games, just audibly say the order and repeat it as you move on the echo. If not, there's a mod that you can record the order and it reads it back.Flight the boss in the outer third of the arena and aim the cone outwards to reduce puddles. When you get to 91%/61%/31% dash to the middle for intermission so you don't get instagibbed by the first Simon because you're still rushing to the center.When the add spawns, immediately swap your target to it as you begin Simon. Do your rotation as best you can but only Simon and interupting the add matters. Killing it is important but if you let it live past Simon it's not a wipe. That said you want it to die before you are faced with two casts you have to interrupt.Don't rush. Focus on mechanics: interrupt every cast, avoid every slime (the 3D ones, you can survive running over puddles but don't get greedy), avoid the cone and make sure you prioritize Simon. One shot means one shot. If you are about to hit Simon, hold damage and wait for slimes to mostly clear.After the third Simon you're just in a slug fest. No more hard mechanics! But don't get lazy and eat a cone, miss an interrupt or get run over by a slime. You can now take as much time as you need, and use the entire arena without fear. Flight isn't over till it's over.

I did this in 15 attempts as a 299 resto sham. There was no way I was going to pull it off as ele lol. I had to tank him for the majority of the fight too.
I complete it an hour ago, 11 tries, no addon, resto druid and valeera (80) as dps, just let valeera do the job and keep yourself dispelled and low agro. I didn’t use the addon, but i couldnt have done it without my gf writing the colors. She is the best addon and the only thing i need in game and out. I second that; there should be separate group rankings of who used and didn't use the addon. Since I feel the purpose of this fight was to be difficult. Blizzard already purged addons for a reason to make the game feel more challenging instead of being carried by hundreds of addons doing everything for you.
Did it as 292 Resto Sham with 0 set. Make sure you take the talent that lets you dispel and drop totems in ghost wolf, plus any speed boosts. And damage on healing rain.For Valeera, the bone spike talent did a lot of damage and was like 48% of her damage. I used the bottom right corrosive alter power and it did a very nice chunk of damage too.Just use healing tide and all your healing streams during the dance, and those will be enough to keep dps valeera alive. Maybe toss in a riptide, but mostly focus on the dance.
remember there's no rush, and this is one of the easiest nemesis bosses to just stay alive on if you focus on movement. let your cooldowns refresh and wait for venom wave to be done before pushing into the memory phase and you'll have a much easier time handling things without needing to worry about running into waves.
Y'all are pathetic. Where's the separate HoF for those of us who used a VPN set to China and had to deal with a 300ms ping? Where's the separate HoF for those of us who didn't use a max-level Valeera? Where's the separate HoF for those of us who didn't use the dreamcatcher ability? Where's the separate HoF for those of us who did it as a Healer with Valeera also set as a Healer? Anything to make y'all feel better for gimping yourselves.
I'm gonna echo what a few other people have said here and say that cooldown management is your best friend here.I did it as a 291 ret. I ensured that every intermission I had wings (any equivalent cooldown for other classes). The add died sometimes before the memory game even begun. I never once came close to having both up at the same time (heck, I didn't even know you could stun the add before I read these comments...)Other than that, it's just reps with the memory game. Took me ~20 attempts (although I admit I had a god lucky pull... 60% best down to zero).
If you're struggling with the interrupts because yours has a long CD (I did this on shadow priest), you can have Valeera take Phantasmal Spore Toxin and choose Accursed Poison on the Corrosive Codex.
After 10 tries or so I managed to do it while : valeera died, debuff was on me, my pet lost agro, my cut was down cause I had to use it on the add and waves were going. I only got through thanks to the cut poison and saving every CD and pots and stuff as possible. As a demo lock it was really painful and it should probably be way easier with any other spec/class.
