imagine if they were doing anything original with their IPs instead of regurgitating the same old content or sitting on them for literal decades. With the current state of blizzard pretty sure this reads more as a condemnation of AAA studios in general than blizzard itself doing anything particularly well.
"Fear not minions! The Sacrificial Altar has been sated and you are spared for the current Cycle! Continue your Toil, Show No Dismay Or Dissent! Continue to please your Masters and they may deign to overlook you until the Midwinter Festival! Praise To Investus!"
Good news!Time for more lay offs =D
I mean, if you shut down half of your studios, it's no surprise that the remaining ones show better performances.
Time to fire more Blizzard employees.
So this means they are going to invest more in WoW right? Better story, better class designers, QA/QC will see a surge in importance, etc.? Why is everyone laughing at meFELL FOR IT AGAIN AWARD
WoW is about to become FF14 where microsoft starts to siphon off its resources to other failing gaming sectors
Can probably file this under "No Duh"
Yeah because Microsoft lobotomized (read: conducted massive layoffs at) all the other studios under their umbrella, it's no surprise that the one they didn't is thriving.
No %^&* microslop and xbox are dead horses
That last paragraph is uhh......Overwatch 2 is not a recent release......neither is the Diablo 4 expansion.......Like you can delete criticism and the edit it and that's fine but those are still not recent things they are 4 and 2 years old respectively.
crazy how 40iq wowhead commenters (mostly classic uncs tbh) try to spin even something as "top performing studio" into something bad. just take the W and be a leveled free thinker for once
The people harping on about how bad WoW and Blizz are for the last 20 years aren't going to like reading this.Assuming of course they can read.
One of the problems I can see in all this when I step back and look at it from a safe distance, is that companies are only concerned about performance and profit, and we play the game to escape our actual grind working for these money addicted profiteers. Reading the article all I see is people excited about profit and performance. No emotional investment in Azeroth, just excitement at the notion that the money box spews money everywhere when you hit it with a stick. No concern about QA or QC, no concern about functioning class specs and talent integrations.Just a bunch of sugar hyped kids taking a swing at the pinata.
i know it will sounds lil bit greedy but i really want see blizzard leak some new ip project in blizcom
Not much of an achievement when the rest of XBOX has been in shambles for the past decade
