Looks good so far, though I'm sure the Negative Nellies will find something to be Big Mad about.
Nice, can't wait
I just hope they increase the blueprints limit a little. 50 seems like a lot, but it's actually not that much.
Looks like a possible gold farm for Housing enjoyers!
This is awesome as you can keep building for a long time to come. I'm mostly looking forward to level 10 and beyond so I can build again as I'm maxed out at level 9 for both houses, but having blueprints gives us far more versatility. For Housing this is big.
the export permissions are for, well, exporting. It's not about others importing the blueprints. If you check the permissions, other players can export your layout/create the blueprints themselves (it's already implemented on the PTR and seems to work perfectly fine in this way)
Housing flopped so hard and dead, get over with it seriously! Just put your effort to other things! Revive pet battles, archeology, dragonriding races and everything else that was neglected or straight removed because of this useless, boring feature no one asked for!
Although housing was never me for me (i did do a little bit at the start then never touched it again), i am glad they are adding and improving the feature for other players to enjoy. Also lets them 1 up FF14's housing system yet again (14 players have to use a third party program to do blueprints currently)
I actually LOVE archaeology and want it back, but housing is one of the core features critical to sustaining wow and it’s awesome. Sharing layouts better not lead to corporate housing developer takeover and strict HoAs, though! :P
So hang on a second, if I build an elaborate piece of decor from a bunch of individual ones, like a statue, fountain, toilet, etc. I can't save that as a blueprint? Is that how I'm reading this? Because then this is a pretty useless feature. The issue with housing is that to get anything good you have to use a bunch of sub pieces to get a great and interesting overall piece of decor. And I can't save that and just pop it in 5 places in a room or send to somebody else?
I"m very fond of housing features. I love it and it's like the extension of the adventures of my characters. Love itAs far as archaeology is concerned, it’s a feature I’ve enjoyed, but one that could be much more polished. And thanks to the housing technology, one could imagine Blizzard adding randomly generated underground tombs and temples that would appear following an excavation, and much more. They could turn it into a dynamic system by adding events and locations to explore during archaeological excavations.
