"great change for the spec" They have finally nerf it ?
Don’t get me wrong, I encourage riptide buffs whenever they come but, this article feels disingenuous and out of reality. Resto shaman as it stands does NOT appear in liquid or methods team, how can we expect to que up for keys and pug heroic when there is no representation at the top? My current group clears aotc every season so we are already fighting for world ranks, but I have to convince my raid lead every season for me to be blue. This post does NOT acknowledge the fact that our mastery is actually our saving grace. If we buffed our current mastery liquid and method would not have a choice. I remember back in cata (previous HoF raider in dragon soul) mastery was the only thing that kept us alive pull to pull. Why would we want to change it? To me, our mastery in its current state is what makes resto shaman resto, like a class identity. I feel as the person who posted this isn’t someone who plays this spec, mana is NOT a problem. I have never seen myself oom through aotc and I parse pretty high (70-85). I just wish we had someone at the wheel who would consider pushing for bigger chain heals. Our mastery and chain heals are everything to this class and I would prefer if we went harder into chain heal spammin, could just be me but I used to play at a high level and I don’t see why this is a problem. Now for m+ shaman mastery seems to be the only thing helping me time my keys. Now I am no title player but I do get 3k every season and when I look at my details meter there is mastery doing 10-20% of my overall healing, and we want this changed? I think it’s time to take a full step back for resto here and move towards bigger gains in our mastery.
Seems like while they took way too long to start figuring it out, they did finally come around to at least most of the changes that RSham needed to start getting back on track overall. Obviously still some problems, but it's at least looking better, without just making Chain Heal worse.Buffing the %^&* out of Riptides, especially the hot portion, is great. Swelling Tides sounds like such a great talent I wish Resto Druid could get something similar to it as a different option from Flourish (kind of like Verdant Infusion, but like for all Rejuvs instead of just hots on one target). Maybe something like, consuming Clearcasting extends all Rejuvs by 3 seconds.Having more or less free access to mana cost reduction on Healing Wave is great. The 10% healing buff on it isn't enough yet, as the spell really sucks at spot healing when you need it, but it's at least a start.Buffing the heck out of the Ancestors and Unleash Life is great, starts getting Farseer back on track, which is kind of bittersweet when the tier set makes Totemic so good. Farseer was a tough sell until the end of TWW, but once I had a real taste of what it could do, I'm longing to go back to it. Though a fair part of this is because it actually LIKES Haste, and doesn't have as bad of mana problems as Totemic. I may just like to play specs more when they don't have to run out of mana for no reason (looking at you, Disc).
With all the development and numbers resto shamans could ever want and have, the guy just sits and complains about holy priest with its mastery, the most dead spec in the game KEKW
reduce the interrupt cd. 30sec is too much for pug m+...if you fail bc someone else kicked you are fudged
This sentence here - " The excitement for these is very high because it shows a real care for trying to fix deeper problems, rather than simply adding more power until the numbers match what other healers can do." , can resto druid devs take care of the spec aswell...seems not , good for shamans , changes and buffs looks really nice.
lets gooooo
Wish we'd just get instant cast healing rain, totemic just feels great because it's instant cast. Then with tier sets like this, it won't be so heavily benefiting totemic
Healing rain now healing up to 6 targets is goated, my pocket GM can stop complaining about not getting heals
Blizz should have put more time in to Pally and Dracythyr and Hpriest. They need to stop acting like Druid and Shaman are the only healers.
I really don't get the part about resto being mana hungry last season. At the start of the season when farseer was still the recommended specc i ran into some mana issues when pugging raids. As soon as totemic got recommended and i got a bit of gear i rarely run out of mana. I did m+ untill 3.4k and almost never sat down to drink. The occassional mana pot was enough.
They planning the resto shaman as meta healer. This is what these news speak out loud.
Farseer felt good in S3 of TWW with the Healing Wave cleave builds, but they decided to take that build out back and then put power into spells already buffed by Totemic and go "why does Farseer suck?"Farseer SHOULD be the stronger spec in keys since it theoretically has a better profile (spot healing with Grandpa Healing Waves and more Riptides and not relying on people standing in the totem). The issue is when both specs are Chain Heal bots yeah it'll be the spec significantly better at it even IF you get next to no value out of the totem because your rdps stand in Narnia.
