Honestly a draenei zone update like quelthalas got would be awesome
I can't help but feel like the Draenei have gotten something of a disproportionate amount of attention story-wise compared to some of the other races...
Hopefully not something half assed like naigtal, one of the worst zones I've ever experienced in this game where things aggro from 50 yards away and chase you across the entire map and the dumb mushroom jump system
I hope they make an Alliance city with a portion that the Horde can't enter, but then proceed to sideline every single big Alliance character to put Horde characters and leaders to the forefront of their storytelling.OH! and I almost forgot, make sure to put Horde flags all over the city, and the following warband camps as well.
As soon as they announced midnight was a rebuilt Silvermoon I have been waiting for the expected announcement of the rebuilt Exodar. The ship itself was repaired MANY years ago in lore so it would make sense to get rid of both old TBC zones in Midnight.Maybe all the kalimdor people take refuge there and the eastern kingdoms people in silvermoon in the final patch of Midnight to survive and bring us into TLT. I don’t know that sounds lame. But something will surely happen. We need a proper Draenei city. Warlords was supposed to give some but it didn’t really happen
Been saying this since Day 1 of Midnight after seeing the Draenei in Voidstorm.
nah the space goats are lame, yeah they will probably do it, but it wont be hype for anyone but the few forum karens
I would love to see them out of the crash site. But I disagree with your point about an instanced zone like Naigtal or Siren Isle — they clearly have the tech to tie instances together with invisible loading screens, like between Khaz Algar and the Ringing Deeps, or between the Dragon Isles and Zaralek Cavern. I can totally see them overhauling the entire Azuremyst Isle and letting us fly there directly over the sea without going through a loading screen, with the instance loading seamlessly in the background, just like the zones I mentioned. To be honest, this is so long overdue. It's criminal how the zones in the game are stuck in whatever year they were introduced. I know it's a massive ask, but I kind of wish they'd make the world feel alive, dynamic, and progressing with the passage of time, with buildings rising in the background without even marketing them as something big and new, the seasons changing in real time, and characters coming and going with their own agendas throughout the world instead of only in the "relevant patch zone." By now, they should've already given us many, many more updates, not only with each patch, but with random little drops every other week, or at least every month.I see they're doing this with Player Housing neighborhoods: new buildings are opening, new NPCs are arriving, and the passage of time is being reflected in the game in meaningful ways. I just wish they'd apply the same philosophy to every zone, or at least racial zones / countries. Surprise players with nice little additions they'd be happy to discover simply by visiting their home city, village, or wherever... seeing things evolve over time.I hope that whatever happens after TLT, WoW becomes more alive and dynamic. Give us proper seasons, weather effects, NPC autonomy, yada yada... Improve the simulation aspect of the game. It's an entire fantasy world, it should BREATHE.
I was thinking before midnight launched that we would go to an updated Azuremyst +city in the 12.1. Clearly not happening and it seems likely now that we will do a coreway zone for 12.2. But it sure would be neat if we got Azuremyst as the zone because the Draenei figure out a way to get to the worldsoul and the coreway is just the raid... But i'm not holding my breath.I expect if we don't get the Draenei city in midnight(which would have been very logical thematically) then it won't be until after last titan. But it's possible I suppose.

the atmopshere of azuremst is just incredible and special. the new team sadly cannot replicate this, which is probably why they keep preserving an access to older zones when they remake it. they didn't do it in cataclysm and it was such a debacle that wow never recovered its past success.
We all know we’re going to lose in TLT, if you don’t know, you do now. The most logical next step would be to leave Azeroth using space goat technology with upgrades from our Dwarf, Goblin, and Gnome family to a new world. Since they’re headlining this adventure it will most certainly be a planet they’re familiar with. This is after they re-join their Burning Legion family, and we start anew without the Titans order, and prepare for the inevitable day that we have to face mamma toes again. Think long game, like we knew we’d see Sargeras again, but when? Same thing.
I would love to see a remade Azuremyst Isle with the Exodar dismantled and Bloodmyst Isle cleansed of all the radiation poisoning. Especially if it is attached to the Kalimdor continental map and has flying enabled.Maybe convert all the most toxic parts of Bloodmyst into a major Draenei city like WoD Shattrath, Karabor and Elodor. The standard set by Silvermoon, Suramar and Boralus should be the goal for any future capital cities; a mix of functional player usability, active NPC areas that make it feel lived in and alive, and sections with re-playable content like world quests, inner-city conflict questlines, dungeons, delves, and other interactive gameplay.
Azuremist was great. Leveled many an alt there when it was new. A revamp would be nice, but w/e.
