With the return of Jan’alai, Loa of Fire comes a return to past traditions. She’s ready to bring a new clutch of eggs into the world but Loa Speaker Brek requires assistance with the ceremony and with ensuring all the Loa’s young are released safely from their eggs. Be a part of welcoming the first of her offspring and protecting them as they take their first steps.

Thanks to terrible writing, the loa as presented in Midnight are subject to the same tropey pitfalls as too many other RPG deities: they demand respect and too much fuss is made over them despite the fact that they do nothing but act like petulant children. Maybe it's only fitting since Zul'jarra is also trumpeted as some kind of big-time hero and massively cool new troll hero despite the fact that she does absolutely nothing but rely upon others while demanding respect she never earns.

Between the Midnight loa and Zul'jarra, I went from a solidly neutral opinion of trolls for decades to instead actively loathing and/or ridiculing them. Put some real writers back on the job and save the lore from the people who seem to hold an active disrespect for the project they are working on.
