Massive Nerfs to Phase 1 on Mythic L'ura with Hall of Fame Closing

With scheduled realm maintenance tomorrow, we’ll make the following changes.

Raids

Midnight Falls

Heaven’s Glaives maximum duration reduced to 1 minute (was 2 minutes).
Reduced the spread of Midnight Crystals on Mythic difficulty.
Starsplinter initial damage reduced by 20% on Mythic difficulty.
Criticality damage reduced by 20%.

- Terminate damage reduced by 95%
- Terminate cast time increased to 5 seconds
- Radiance damage reduced by 75%
- Resonance damage reduced by 50%
- Dissonance damage reduced by 75%
- Naaru's Lament damage reduced by 30%

That should be enough to make p1 actually fun.Comment by TimmehMemes aside, as someone a good few pulls into the boss, these are good nerfs. One of the main challenges with P1 was dealing with other mechanics during glaive bullet hell, so cutting that in half in a lot of cases is significant. And shaving down the DK comp requirement is good for guilds without deep benches - it was genuinely advantageous to play 3 DKs in the current version.

I'm sure we'll see more nerfs eventually, but P1 was such a gatekeeper phase, it'll reduce the number of pulls a decent bit without trivialising the boss.

All of this being said, I hope Blizzard rethink some of their design goals for future tiers. The heavy reliance on raid oneshot mechanics and the return to an effectively mandatory addon does make a mostly enjoyable boss less fun overall.Comment by BegroovedTypical too little, too late fixes, I'm not impressed...
