New Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred Hotfix Removes Portal at End of Pit Run

Posted 2026/05/01 at 1:01 AM by Whispyr

HOTFIX 4 - April 30, 2026 - 3.0.1

Bug Fixes

Finishing a Pit or Tower Run no longer spawns a portal to exit from.

Our intention with adding this portal was for QoL, but it missed the mark.

Fixed an issue where Nemesis boss lairs could be infinitely farmed by grouping up with other players and swapping difficulties.
Fixed an issue where progression of The Soil, The Seed, The Fruit could be blocked if multiple players interacted with chains at the same time.
Various stability improvements.

Who the hell complained about the portal? Guessing idiots that miss clicked it.

This is dumb AF. Portal took you to the pit obelisk. Leave dungeon or town portal take you to the portal rune. Just adds unecessary time.

Bring the portal back, and just place it a bt further away from the glyph upgrader or add a confirmation popup if you haven't upgraded your glyphs yet.

Never had the portal spawning inside the bubble. Only noticed the portal when I decided to move out of the bubble at one run.

Who the hell misclick a portal that far away?

Oh no, I'm teleported 0.5s away from where the pit obelisk is instead of right on top of it!

Depending on where you killed the boss, the portal could end up right on top of your loot or the obelisk, making it much easier to click the portal than your rewards.

What kind of idiot missclicks a portal that spawns right on top of 700 items and the glyph upgrader? I guess not understanding such an obvious thing takes a whole nother level of idiot.

Removing the portal was a good choice. There is already a leave dungeon hotkey.

When i look at how close the town portal in Temis is to the blacksmith this seems ironic.

I killed one of the bosses in the new campaign, dropped 5 items that just as I started clicking them to loot them had a portal spawn directly over the top and I couldn't reenter lol.

Really they should put in some logic that either moves the loot drop location or the portal, but given this would require some effort they took the easy route and incovenienced players instead.

I know blind people Play diablo4 but hey? Why isnt it possible to add a checkbox for fully functional people to opt Out of a QoL Things

Comment by DelSolo

Could they not move the portal to an room that opens up, only after the bossfight?

No accidental boss death on top.
No accidental loot and overlap.
