When the blue posts and actual game news are so scarce that Wowhead has to resort to posting AI-written guides about 20 year old dungeon content.
This is why a stick of a RAM cost an arm and a leg.
As always, Paladin is the best tank. Paladin is the only tank capable of dealing meaningful damage while mobs are being kited, have BoP, have Divine Shield + /cancelaura to instantly remove mechanics, and have a ranged 3-target taunt. Suggesting Paladin will struggle more than the other tanks is silly. You really don't need that many interrupts. You can also Spellsteal or Devour Magic/Dispel Magic/Purge the Wild Growth, or you can just ignore it and out-DPS it. Itchy Spores is also a Disease, which means it can be removed by Paladin/Priest/Shaman, thus negating the need for an interrupt. Another reason to bring a Paladin tank, by the way. Or a Restorative Potion, but no one is using those, I guarantee it.I'm not sure what exactly it is you're recommending needs to be Hibernated, and if you Banish the elemental that deals more damage based on its current HP, you're never going to weaken it. Sure, you could Banish the other ones, but then you're still dealing with the enraged mob. Don't bother with either of these CC's here. Just AoE and kite. If you, for some reason, do not have ANY slow, leave the party and join a real group. Or just have your healer actually press their buttons. I know it's a big ask -- I've seen so many bad healers that only use Flash Heal/Lesser Healing Wave/Regrowth when someone is at 20% hp -- but it's actually very easy to heal every mob hitting the tank on a single trash pack. The way you describe Mind Control is a bit misleading. You don't now have a 6th party member, you are trading one party member for a generally weaker one. You can't continue your normal gameplay while Mind Controlling a mob. There are very few exceptions (ZG comes to mind), but usually it's better to have your Priest actually playing their character than having them auto attacking with a mob they are controlling. Also, by controlling the mob, you are making it impossible for your allies to damage it, which slows down the pull. The correct way to use Mind Control is to instantly kill the controlled mob as you describe -- something you don't have to be Shadow to do.It's also a bit misleading to suggest that people should not cleave on the two mobs before the first boss. The only classes that actually can cleave are doing so incidentally as part of their single-target rotation, with the exception of a Warrior's actual Cleave instead of Heroic Strike. But no Warrior in their right might would use Heroic Strike against two targets instead of Cleave. Hunter uses Multi-Shot for singlet-target, Rogue only really has Blade Flurry (which they probably won't use on trash RIGHT before a boss), Elemental uses Chain Lightning for single-target, Enhancement uses Fire Nova Totem and Magma Totem for single-target. As for DoT classes, they absolutely should DoT both targets.Viper Sting is a poison and can be removed. Another reason to bring a Paladin tank, by the way. Regarding pulling them back, the hallway has a few good spots for LoS, but you usually don't need to worry about pulling them back, anyway. Just run into the pack and tank it where it is. This weird obsession with pulling every pack 60 yards away needs to end already.Psychic Horror is magic and can be dispelled? Guess what that means? ANOTHER reason to bring a Paladin tank! I wouldn't personally recommend this, but you can also use Curse of Tongues to slow the cast and make it easier to interrupt. They can and should be stunned to prevent casts. You can also use Grounding Totem to eat a couple of the Psychic Horrors. But here's an even better tip for you: the range on the horrify is 15 yards. If you just use slows and AoE to kite them, they'll never even cast it.It amuses me that you describe the bosses and list even more reasons for a Paladin tank. Divine Shield + /cancelaura, dispelling Hunter's Mark. You forgot to mention that the debuff following Levitate is magic and can be dispelled. Also, The Black Stalker is female, as described in the quest to kill her:"You have proven yourself to be capable, <class>. Do you think that you'd be able to journey to the Underbog in Coilfang Reservoir and eliminate the great mother of the marsh walkers, known as The Black Stalker?Bring me her brain as proof."
A veteran of the instance would also point out that the Fen Ray's Psychic Horror can be both countered by interrupts (such as a rogue's Kick) or absorbed by a shaman's Grounding Totem. And the spell having a 1-second cast time makes it a great training exercise to hone one's interrupt skills. If your group's shaman, rogue or warrior interrupts them, make sure to keep them in your friends' list for later content!
