What's the point now?

You can only have one pet out at a time, they often get dismissed whenever you fly or change zones... why bother spending any $$ on it?

Some do funny or cool things when they are out, but they are cosmetics essentially. Even lower than cosmetics because there are so many ways battle pets get dismissed that it becomes a minigame to remember to summon them. Honestly this might be the way they are sunsetting these. Where is the PokemonGo but it's WoWPets rip off app for my phone! Being able to do Pet battling outside of having to play wow makes since. Would love that! Really all they have to do to "fix" pet battles is copy what Pokémon does and they would make $$$
