The eagle is one of the best looking pets (and mounts) they added in a long time imo
What I hate most about Hunter is that if you want the cool pets, you have to play BM, and while it's never been complex, it's now 6 buttons. Cooldowns included. That's it.Marksman doesn't use pets and Survival is an engineer/tinkerer cosplaying as a melee hunter.
It needs to be said that DARKBURN spawns in an area which has different quests as their target as well as the rare kill being part of an achievement, so find a quiet server or leave it to luck if you hope for a tame.
Whiptails are the coolest pets, because it's a new pet family for Midnight and has a teleport ability. Helps with "pet out of range" issues.

Shredclaws are the best, sadly i can't use them.So, for now, orange ghastly skipper and pale capybara are the winners.I just checked, orange potatoads are elemental type, so can't be tamed.
There's a fel eel in murder row and you need a warlock or DH to activate it for you. You buy the empty fel core from one of the vendors inside the dungeon
The thing that bothers me about playing hunter is the weird jerky moment the pets make when you move your character. I don't know why it bothers me so bad but it does. I am leveling my hunter now and I went with the mana wyrms. I really like the new model. They're just so colorful. I use the blue and yellow ones and the purple comes out with bestial wrath. The movements don't bother me as much for some reason with these. Duskburn would be nice to have but there are too many people questing in that area for now. I really want to tame a saptor but I cant get the thing to drop off rares in Harandar.
Actually there is a wyrm cooler than duskburn, the reinfused felwyrm stands out as it’s the only mana wyrm with a green glow. Rhazul, dame bloodshed, etc should have been on this list. Forgot to mention there is a paint crazed Thornmaw too
If that's the best you've got, I question your definition of "Coolest" Come on! We got like 6 different new variants dragon hawk and PLANT beasts. and NONE of those made your list?
The undead eagle and void mana wyrm are pretty cool, but the 3 orange ones are far from the coolest hunter pets, IMO the Haradar Trex/raptors are some of the coolest pets and the Chloroceroses and Thornmaws are very close to them on the list

Can we normalise not taming rares this early in the expac? They’re a great way to gear up and encouraging people to tame them is going to cause Hunters to get a bad rep or abuse
