A massive lag-fest and dc's galore. TBC has launched 2 times before and Blizzard still can't make it stable or run smoothly (missed out on the RP event before the portal opened, so that's just great). The incompetence is astounding.
imagine just adding a few more servers
It lasted barely 30 minutes and a lot of people only had to deal with a one-time wait before it smoothed. Perfectly fine, all things considered.
"Investigating" means ignoring the problem until enough people log off that the servers can handle it.
Funny how it's always the authentication servers that go wrong even when people are able to log in to the game....
Overall, honestly this was handled way better than vanilla tbc. Only experienced a bit of lag after going through the portal and up until taking the flight path to Thrallmar. After that all was fine.
Spin up more authentication pods, or find someone who actually knows what they're doing to run your infrastructure. This is getting old.
