UpdateThe first official ElvUI 15 build is about to be released to all the usual sources (Website, Tukui Client, WowUp and Wago App).
As mentioned in our original Midnight post, this initial release is not perfectly fine but a very good start to keep working on reports and features. Special shoutout to p3lim and the oUF team for maintaining the library to keep our Unitframes and Nameplates powered for Midnight
Thanks to Nevcairiel for updating the action button library which makes it easier for us to have our Actionbars
Compatibility- We've done our best to test and verify all of our Midnight changes are as compatible with Classic, TBC and Mists as possible
- Style Filters and Portraits have been removed for all versions of the game and Cutaway Bars has been removed for Midnight
- The new basic filtering for buffs and debuffs can optionally be used in Classic, TBC and Mists (its a performance increase)
Midnight- Basic filtering for buffs and debuffs has been implemented for all frames, based on what Blizzard allows in 12.0
- Basic text format tags have been added, logic such as "only show last name" and similar is no longer possible
- Basic cooldown manager skinning and font settings implemented in the BlizzUI Improvements tab under General
- Cooldown text settings have been reworked from scratch, if you don't see them on Actionbars u have to enable "Show Numbers for Cooldowns" in Blizzard settings
- Custom classbar for the Devourer Demon Hunter has been added
- Custom classbar tab for "Additional Power" has been added to display Ebon Might for the Augmentation Evoker
- Nameplate classification colors have been added for enemy types Melee, Caster, Miniboss, Boss, Rares and more (these work in dungeons and raids as well!)
- Nameplates Health Width setting is now separate from Nameplates > General > Clickable Width
Good to know- Added a "Reset Text" button next to all "Text Format" boxes in Unitframes and Nameplates to restore (and fix in case of Midnight) our defaults
Cooldown manager- We have noted down a big list of ideas for features we would like to work on for the cooldown manager
- The general long-term plan here is to make a dedicated "Cooldown Manager" tab in the main ElvUI config on the left side
- Nothing is set in stone yet, this implementation might take weeks or months or not even happen at all, but the general thought exists
Known issues- Support for the new Diminishing Returns Tracking module on Arena frames has not been implemented yet
- The border for Private Auras on Unitframes is not scaled yet, expect it to be very big and overlapping until we get to work on it and test
