They revamped it three times and still worst zone ever made.
Most of Classic is unfinished and there is room to add additional quests everywhere. Quests were meant to point you towards your grinding spots, not to level you on their own so if the idea is for questing to be more important for leveling and to not change anything about existing content than I guess Dustwallow is a decent template. I still don't see the point of Classic plus though, we have that already and we are nearing 11th expansion of original Classic plus. We got where we are with player feedback and they will reach the same place eventually even if they start developing new expansions for Classic (developing a whole separate second mmo is a huge waste of resources if they do it properly but not getting into that).
Jedi warlock made a video on this topic its worth a watch
Ideal version of Classic+ would involve horizontal scaling. If new content comes out it doesn't invalidate the old content. Way more RPG aspects. And absolutely no flying mounts, it's insane how different vanilla feels to even TBC or Wrath.
Epoch was the "classic+" we needed. But Blizzard gotta bli$$ard.
Just sharing some thoughts on questing and zone overhaul:- In terms of Dustwallow, I remember back when TBC prepatch came out back in 2007, and I needed to go to Dustwallow on my Blood Elf Paladin for a quest. I was clueless to addons and such, running the bare minimum of Omen, Titan Panel, and a variant of DBM. If questing addons existed, I had no clue. I do remember heading to Onyxia's Lair many times and never seeing this village. I wound up completing the zone on the Blood Elf thinking, "Wow. This zone's quests are awesome. I didn't have to relocate to various zones to complete the quests. Why aren't they all like this, and how did I miss this zone?" Being exposed to all expansions throughout WoW's history, this was the first zone where I felt questing didn't waste more time traveling than actually questing.- In terms of zone revamps, I feel the best zone update occurred in Cataclysm with the Silverpine Forest area. That storyline with Garrosh and Sylvanas is epic. If you spend time and listen to the quests (and read them), you can tell the amount of time and thought that went into incorporating the Worgens into the Undead storyline (and vise versa). The developer/writer of that zone should be the Classic + point of contact.
“Ravamp”
the cope is so delusional at this point. every time these people notice something (that has existed for decades by the way) they didn't see before they write 48 paragraphs on how this must refer to "classic+". we already had classic+, it was called "SoD" and if you think blizzard is capable of developing something that isn't "SoD" then why didn't we get it the first time? no one asked for SoD.everytime blizzard releases more slop you all cope about classic+, but when it isn't up to your arbitrary standards you say "this isn't classic+ actually" and start the psychosis over again. if there is ever a classic+, it will just be SoD 2.0, and it will be dead in 2 weeks just like SoD 1.0. blizzard isn't even 10% capable.
*Arsonists.
I'd love to see a Classic remix of some form! It can just be retail classes in the classic season of discovery era!
Finally we know what happened to the Shady Rest Inn and I can finally rest too.
