I wish everyone not to have to celebrate the New Year on Wow. It doesn't have to be a big party with many people, get away from the computer and hug your parent, brother, sister, anyone close to you and wish them an even better new year

Comment by Darkdefender

Happy New Year! Hope everyone has a great year, and may you enjoy it whether it be in-game or otherwise!

Also, don't drink too much or you'll regret it. Goes for both cases.

unfortunately my fiancé is in another country than me so i will take this event as a way to be close to her.

Always try to grab the fireworks at 23:00 before my husband and I head out for the proper communal show. It is always a delight and a fun way to cap off another year with WoW.

Which is a bizarre thing to say about a videogame haha but that is just how it is sometimes.

The Date Simulation Modulator and Environmental Emulator are also good toys to pull out for the fireworks.

Happy New Year Everyone!

WoW has always been special to me ever since the very first day I played it back in the vanilla years. While over the years some players have become burnt out, bitter, and jaded - mostly from playing too much and too often, or repeating the same content over and over and over again on multiple characters (all their own choice, of course), I have always taken my time to immerse myself and enjoy all that WoW has to offer.

The holiday activities. tens of thousands of quests, over one-hundred dungeons and raids, delves, battlegrounds, arena, open-world pvp, battle pets, crafting, exploration, mini-events, amazing lore and so many amazing places to visit with tons of things to experience - it just gets better and better as more is added.

I hope with 2026 and beyond, the devs will continue to make WoW bigger and better, and after this trilogy of mini-expansions, we will get to have full expansions again with the full amount of content.

I also hope that the following will end forever and never be heard of again: Boosts, character race/faction changes, progress skips, game modes outside of WoW, not being able to see current character achievements, and of course, all the different so-called "classic" realms that are not classic at all because each has been heavily tweaked and changed.

I hope the devs get back to making the real World of Warcraft the priority and lose interest in all these extra distractions that take away from real WoW's development. But those that just my wishes.

I also hope EVERYONE who plays will SLOW DOWN and get back to enjoying the full game. That means classic content as well as all ten expansions. Not just the latest expansion that is repeated constantly. There is soooo much to see and enjoy and it breaks my heart to see many players that have dozens of alt characters, yet none have even completed 10% of the game's content.

Let's get back to MAIN characters mattering the most. One per faction, on each server you play on. I miss players being invested in their character and doing all they can on that 1-2 characters.

I also hope the devs will finally add achievements for 5000, 10000 and 15000 normal quests completed, as we only have achievements for up to 3000 quests completed and then a few for daily quests completed. If you want to know how many normal, non-repeatabale quests your character has completed, check your statistics tab and deduct the amount of daily quests completed from the total number of quests completed.
With each faction having over 15,000 quests available to enjoy (more if you played in vanilla), I want to see more players trying to see it all on one character, as seeing content across multiple characters isn't really the same experience.

What are some of your wishes and hopes for the New Year and Beyond?

Remember, there is never a need to rush. Never a need to grind. Never a need to skip content. And make your main priority to just have fun!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! See you all in game! Salute!

Happy New Year, everyone. Let's get this bread.

Nah, I prefer to spend the last hours of 2025 online with my guildies and having fun that way. I have zero desire to get out on NYE and deal with all of that. To each his own.

For some of us, our families are drinking straight wacko juice in the last year-plus. I'm not about to go ring in the new year with people who spent the last year cheering on police brutality and grift while buying into some of the most baldfaced lies a bozo could possibly fall for.

I've got my peeps on WoW, and some of them are more family to me than the blood relations are at this point.

I have spent every New Years in WoW for the better part of 20 years, even when not playing, I'll still take a trial character to a capital and enjoy time just chatting with others on the game. Heres to another 20 years of WoW with all you beautiful gamers.

LOL sure buddy.

It's actually the same as me. I'm in an entirely different country than my family due to work, so I either have to do nothing at home, party with strangers which I definitely do not want to do, or play other games. I chose option C.

Wow man, took the time to make a comment like this and lash out? Take ten minutes, look inward, ask yourself why that was necessary for you. Be better and kinder in 2026.

What are some of your wishes and hopes for the New Year and Beyond?

My hope is they let us earn far more timewarped badges from the anniversary event and the next remix, and that they keep with the K'aresh approach to rares rather than going back to having multihour spawns like at the start of TWW.

Would also be nice if the put the Spreading the Light transmog drops on a vendor, but hopefully if we ever get to TWW remix they'll do it then.

god I wish Inky Black Potion was a toy. With a practical cooldown.
