This is welcome news, though not entirely unexpected. It seems their public announcement earlier to cease Midnight plans was leverage to get Blizzard to relax certain restrictions. Whether that was necessary or not, who knows. As someone who likes the full suite of addons encompassed within ElvUI, I am very happy to know I'll be able to keep my UI the way it's been for several expansions now.

Yeah, no surprise there. I already knew that when the whiny post came out back then. Of course, I'm still happy about it. I've been using TukUI and ElvUI since WotLK.

Massive W and it has some compitition this time around so hopefully more innovation but yesterday took a long while to get a working build. Really makes me consider getting several addons to replace it and rebuild a new UI after all.
They had to put out the announcement because their Discord was flooded with people spreading misinformation.Elvui wasnt ever not going to continue for midnight, its development for beta was just temporarily put in hold because of the state of the API, but everyone and their mother had to flood Elvuis discord with"OmG no more elvui in midnight means no 11.2.7 update blah blah"

Still waiting to see what will happen with VuhDo, I haven't healed without addons (HealBot/VuhDo/Healium God rest my soul for believing in it) since 3.3.0 Wrath so I literally will not be able to play without one
