I wouldn't say it's that big of a surprise, seeing as they've stated Sylvanas would be back in Midnight. Hopefully there's some explanation of the outcome of her penance in the Maw, and some inclusion of Tyrande in that story thread, for continuity.
Great. Sylvanas returning and singing must be my least favorite news of the day. I hope she'll be insignificant enough to ignore her outright, and not get her shoved in my face everywhere I go again...
It is only permissible to bring sylvanas back so we can kill her.

Glad to see she's back. I know for some it might seem too soon, but if they're aiming to use characters where they belong, well, there's no better way to start mending some of the damage done by BfA/SL than to use her in Midnight. Here's to hoping her quests are optional for those that don't enjoy her, that she doesn't only exist to power of friendship Alleria back from the brink, and that they continue on the thread of her characterization from the Forsaken heritage quest.

Yes, bringing one of the most hated characters in the entire game is exactly what was needed to fuel up recent Midnight controversy.As many others, I hope that her presence will be brief and less significant so I can just pretend that she does not exist anymore.
For the love of god, bring back Kael'thas from Revendreth. Dead or not, he should be given the chance to redeem himself by fighting for his people in their hour of need.
I think it makes sense since it is Silvermoon under threat, her original home, that she would show up and do her best to assist others. She gave her life for Silvermoon in past. I wouldn’t be surprised if she gives her death for it as well!
