Meanwhile I have never wanted to play with random people in Diablo, I just want to play by myself or with a few friends. But that's not very live service game of me.
If people who trade want to ruin the game for themselves, let them. That's their problem.
Yeah boss rotations is what ultimately killed the game for me back in the season when the green expansion released. The problem for me wasn't even Mythics though, it was that the bosses were also the best source of materials that were needed for tempering/masterworking (don't remember which one, but one of them). The game devolved into just seeing boss spawn/despawn animations for hours when I started minmaxing my gear. In certain other ARPGs you progress by actually, like, killing monsters, so I just went to play those instead.
You fix and punish who exploit. Done. And you never balance your game around exploits. The moment they started to balance the drop rates, belial spawns, season lenght, etc. around people being able to dupe and buy (which by the way, now is mostly done with RMT), they screwed the game for players that don't do it.
Let's be real, the biggest issue with casual player aren't the amount of mythics of sparks, cause you can pretty easilly craft one uber unique by juste completing the seasonal questline. The real issue is how blizzard wants to sell their expansion and made the target craft of uber uniques requiring an ABSURD amount of runes, making a single craft worth around 10b. It's just ridiculous.
Cheaters are always going to be present, even if you delete their accounts, costing them every game they purchased through Battle.net and in-game virtual currency they purchased, they just don't get it that what they do hurts others. If you know a Diablo IV cheater, in real life, maybe report their activity to Blizzard, but realistically, that won't stop them as they just don't care.I am a Soloist, I don't do groups and I won't play seasonal content and thus I have accumulated vast amounts of mats, not so much on gold as trying to get 3 hits on one GA on an item via Master-working it can run in the billions and take 40k-50k of Obducite. That being said, even in the Eternal realm, collecting boss summoning mats is a chore, one I try to organize when particular events come up, such as the March of the Goblins - hoarding their treasure bags and farming them are how I built up so many mats for bosses (and gold in vendoring all the legendary items that didn't have 3+ GA's on them, which is 99.99%). I run Helltides for the blood and steel, Undercity runs for the rest. Having five stacks of the Titan Tributes still does not encourage me to do them as it is a long monotonous grind. I have never had a mythic drop that has more than one greater affix yet since Diablo IV launched in June 2023 and I play T3 and T4 as I see fit in the Eternal realm. On the other hand, my brother plays every day in the Seasonal realm and has some very good days where he does get 3-4 mythic items, unfortunately he destroys them as they are typically all useless and not appropriate for his build. It is a long and frustrating journey to find the right ancestral uniques, mythic pieces and even ancestral normal pieces that have GA's on the right affixes or all of them. Master-working initiates so many negative vengeful curses at the random number generator code that some times I hope someone just lets us make the pieces how we want, we do pay for it with game-gold and mats, it should be how we intend, not some effing RNG decision. The last thing I ever want to read about is articles about chumps who cheat, duping items and selling them to other players on the black market, these players need a good swift kick somewhere. This is why so many other players, who honestly play the game get mad because those who take advantage of exploits and solicit the black market for help. Its a GAME, people, it should take time to be enjoyed, its not about who is the top dog on the leaderboard. If that is all everyone looks at the game as, then they just don't get it, and never will.
Thanks for giving this some attention. You forgot a major solution though: **Remove Mythics from target-farming completely.**Boss lair loot is already packed with almost everything a player could wish for, so naturally, this content receives an unhealthy focus and a lot of criticism, whether it is fair or not. By that I mean the whole game is narrowed down to doing boss runs which makes the experience limited and unfun. Players get bored sooner and become frustrated by repetition.I don't believe that this can be fixed in a way that makes every player happy unless the devs relieve some pressure. Same goes for unique items, in my opinion. In any case, the drop chances for Mythic items in Sanctuary should be adjusted and better balanced.
i’ve played since launch without a single other player or trade. never looked up a guide or build one time. shut up
Just buff mythic uniques drop rate 1000x and problem solved. There's zero reason they should have such extremely low drop rate to begin with...
Can we have solo mode? Where can people earn more xp and rewards playing by themselves? I don't want to have to be social in an arpg, i do enough socializing in mmos.
"If they self-farmed 200 Duriels, even quickly, that would amount to over THIRTY hours of mindless Undercity runs and Boss farms." "200 Belials/Duriels is still incredibly mindless, but it can be done in a single afternoon. "Sorry wowhead. But I'm pretty sure there are more than 30 hours in a day, much less in an afternoon.
I usually prefer to play solo in Diablo but at a certain point I had to give up and sell runes so I could go buy hundreds of Husks to spam Belial else I wasn't going to progressI would like to see a solo self found mode added soon preferably in a system to what they have in Lost Epoch
Step 1: Make bosses free to farm. Step 2: Reduce the droprate on mythic uniques from the bosses by an amount. Step 3: Increase the droprate on mythic uniques from the rest of the game to compensate. Also I wouldn't mind if they gave each boss their own dungeon sort of like Diablo 2 (Catacombs Andariel, Durance of Hate Mephisto, Chaos Sanctuary Diablo etc.)Now you can do helltides, strongholds, nightmare dungeons or legion events if you like those, and a mythic unique item might actually drop for you. OR you can go to the boss lairs, learn the map layouts and find the boss as quickly as possible and kill it and it will give you the loot for free no key needed. Win win :)
The biggest fail of Diablo 4 is the endgame being way too easy, and by endgame i mean bosses. Its straight up bad game design to let players one shot uber bosses and reset over and over to farm for mythics... what destroyed the game for me were the fact bosses weren't "bosses" where you had to do mechanics or having the kind of epic feeling of defeating them. But instead being some lame a s s boss one shot over and over... they should make the bosses feels epic and an achievement to defeat and then give far greater rewards instead of letting them be oneshot by overpower or some %^&*... Also where the hell is our sets that made D3 feel good grinding?
Bots were rampant in d3 as well as d4 and always have been and always will continue to ruin the game just like wow. May as well embrace them at this point blizzard doesn't care enough to actually fix it. Just like that one wow bug where it puts healing rain and death and decay on the ceiling. I guarantee when halls of atonement re-releases on retail for season 3 that putting healing rain on ceiling and dnd bug remain for the second to last boss. Blizzard is lazy they never fix anything they make us wait months and call it a patch. I am not surprised anymore at anything having to do with bots.
D4 bosses are also ruined by their atrocious design to begin with.
This endless grind is not good for the game & the Diablo community. Can't wait until they bring back the original Diablo 1 remastered !
