That said, I agree. If these were more fun to get or more substantial power gains, I'd love the mid season borrowed power. Alas, these will just be something you get in the .7 patch for the minor gains you get for the season start, and if your spec's scaling is good, you'll likely replace it before the end of season or it'll sit there being one slot you don't have to replace all season if your spec doesn't scale as much.Comment by PieandCakeI agree so much with this article, and it is very well written.Comment by eojsmadaIt's just a carryover item into season 3. Also, did they forget part of MM Hunter Mastery is increased range? Surely they know Engineers exist? Put it on a bracer instead! Nitro boost hello?Comment by SoeroahBlizzard are constantly constrained by their want to make fun mid-patch items but not upset the balance of things like BGs, M+ and raiding. They need to decouple them.

Just let us get 'borrowed power' type buffs in .7 patches that give us a substantial boost in power, but limit it to delves and outdoor use. That solves the issues of balancing it for rated content, means it doesn't invalidate gear earned from group activities and it doesn't have to be taken into consideration in gameplay people sim for. Literally just give the items a "loses its special properties outside of delves or outdoor Khaz Algar zones" flag and you can make them as fun as the original corruptions or artifact overcharging was without compromising the group progression systems in the game. People won't have a reason to complain about the items being too strong if they don't affect their main gameplay, and the rest of the people would enjoy the boost.
