Was a bummer after the Fake News :( Its not the same anymore
I'm chicken.
WHY NOT JUST?...Enjoy the Facted... We all enjoyed the entertainment...and Enjoyed the Leeroy Jenkins meme and Our own personal Jokes to increase the Hype!...I Enjoy My Chicken!
I don't care if it's fake. It's the best video because you've been in that situation where you're planning and some one just messes up.
fake or not will always have a place in my heart
Thank you for putting the obscure term "viral video" in quotes.
I'm shocked to see comments about people even mentioning it being fake... I feel like everyone I played wow with back then knew it was fake from day 1. But it was still funny then despite that
To those saying it's fake, I heard a slight different story. Yes, the video we know is ''fake'' but only in the sense that they re-enacted what happened in a comical way for it to be on video. So it was atleast based on an actual run they did. Could be wrong though.
No one thought it was real. The odds of success calculation ("repeating, of course") made that obvious. Still hilarious, and, like kerstenmike, my understanding is it was based on a real thing, which, even if it wasn't, might as well have been.
This means ive played wow for over 20 years, i feel old
Leeroy Jenkins is timeless. I'll be an old decrepit geriatric on my death bed, quoting him right before I flatline... hopefully. What have been some of your favorite World of Warcraft memories over the years? Before it was re-released, I had a friend early on in World of Warcraft who I'd go two-man Onyxia with. She played a druid while I played a hunter. We didn't have any reason to actually run Onyxia, but we bonded when we ran it. It was also decent pocket change, so it wasn't ENTIRELY pointless. In our runs, we'd just shoot the breeze while jokingly saying "We're gonna find a super rare Onyxia mount one of these days.", but of course we didn't. A while passes, and sadly I lose contact with said friend. She just never logged back in. Even then, I still ran Onyxia solo because it had become ingrained in me.Then, in late WotLK, Onyxia got herself a glowup and her raid became current content. Most exciting of all however; the Onyxian Drake was added to the game. I was thrilled, and hoped that my friend would come back one day so we could get it together. Sadly, she still never logged back in. Fast forward to late MoP (I think near the end of Throne of Thunder), and I had been running Onyxia's Lair constantly once I could solo it. Finally, the day came where the mount dropped. This has become the mount I ALWAYS use, because it reminds me of the good times I had with the friend who never came back. If anything is considered a favorite memory, it's seeing the Onyxian Drake drop after all those years of running it. Not because it added +1 to my mount achievement count, but because it filled a small hole in my heart.
I remember getting the Jenkins title, my first title in the game and how happy I was when I got it. Still use the title when leveling alts.
What happened to the player himself? Still playing after 20 years?
everyone saying its fake it sure as shoot does not look fake looks like some guy being dumb
If you didn't realize it was fake when the guy started talking statistics on their chances for survival then I'm not sure what to tell you.
I'll be honest. I wasn't expecting this percentage of people who didn't realize it was fake right away. I wonder if age has anything to do with it. Some of you may have been children at the time. I guess nothing was taken away from me, since it was obviously staged, but I thought it was hilarious anyway.
