The corrupted version being a viable full strength legendary leads me believe it will have reversible duality (Like shadow strike/Thunderstrike from MC). This is further supported by the corrupted ashbringer proc literally being a version of the shadow strike chance on hit. I think it’s likely we will see the cleansed one be fire damage/single target and otherwise similar power once fixed version drops.
Undead paladins + Ashbringer will be peak lordaeron roleplay
Lets GO SoD!
I'm sorry but how does this make sense and not break the lore?We KNOW the Ashbringer ends up with Darion Mograine. We SEE him with it in WotLK. We ALSO have an entire comic dedicated to him and the Ashbringer. How are they going to address this?
cleansed ashbringer would clash with the future cleansing by Tirion during the events of Wotlk , if these devs stay true to their previous word on not cannibalizing future lore and gameplay developments with SoD that leaves us with small chances of seeing the legendary version.Aside from that , who tf knows if they got the green light to do it.
Given the Will of the Ashbringer is still on the Corrupted Legendary it infers the Scarlet Cathedral event is still active and if that is the case and Fairbanks says Mograines second son is in Outland then 100% we are dealing with a deviation in the timeline. These events as it stands already deviate and do not line up which tbh is a good thing.Let them cook and tell the story they wanna tell.
Really hope there is a 2.00 speed version of the final Ashbringer so we aren't forced to Seal Twist
wait what ? it deals fire damage not holy damage ?
Imagine caring about MUH LORE when the "lore" has gone completely pants on head idiotic after Catalmao
As a Holy Paladin, I'm hoping it gets the Truthbearer treatment of "Use: Shift your combat stance in order to wield Ashbringer as a hand-and-a-half sword, allowing you to use it with a shield."Reality I'm expecting them to nerf me to the ground in the next patch. Because that's what Paladins get.
The well under Nordrassil is called the second Well of Eternity. So time-travel unlikely!
Illidan took seven vials from the original well of eternity and used one of them at the base of nordrassil. This is also called the well of eternity, the second one.
"Finally"?Laughs in Legion artifacts.
>The datamined cleansed version is currently significantly less powerful than the datamined corrupted version, so the question remains if we actually will cleanse it?The SoD PTR cleansed Ashbringer is identical to the old datamined vesion of Ashbringer from original Vanilla, more than likely just a placeholder. I'd find it a little strange if there's this whole quest about reforging the sword but it's still the corrupted version in the end?I guess it makes some sense from a lore continuation standpoint since it was only cleansed at the start of WotLK by Tirion, but it's a little lame from a player perspective
