after the (In my opinion) "nothing matters, farm cosmetics" philosophy introduced in DF, I jumped into TWW playing exclusively delves in s1.And I gotta say, delves got slighty better in s2! I just hope they don't abandon the gamemode in the future like so many things that were "okay in the beginning with improvements over time, until they dropped them" like Torghast, Warfronts and Mission tables.
1. Delves2. DRIVE collecting the parts for it...3. DRIVE Jobs and Surge Pricing4. Cartel Renown5. Mog Collecting6. Meta Achievement7. Campsite Collecting8. Operation Floodgate9. Raid - Story Mode10. Battle Pet Collecting11. WQ's and WQ's mini-games like the golfing one.To say they are stretching the list to make it like you have lots to do is an understatement...
I love that I can use a r3 contract for the Cartels which covers all the basics you could want. I started this account very late in S1, so I have not even earned half the renown for the initial 4 factions, which doing just daily available world quests earns me an extra 15 renown with the Cartels.Soloing has been my choice for 16 years, and I hope Blizzard sees that a lot of players enjoy doing their own thing rather than formulating schedules and grinding to earn decent gear drops that allow for group content the majority of people want when speed farming dungeons and raids for even better gear. That is the take I understand of the current generation of players are all about. They can do their teamwork on their own, I'll get there when I get there, just like the initial Blizzard motto was, something like - It will be ready, when its ready. Thanks for the video, most of it involves aspects I don't want, pokemon battles and mariocart are not options I personally enjoy, so they are off the list, but the WQ are about all it has to do to earn the rep. Sigh... more grinding.
damn hazel's gnome looks angy ;)
More stuff to do as a solo player now than realistically ever has been. I'm glad they're catering to all types out here.
Since I don't like D.R.I.V.E. and still use Mounts half the time in Undermine, not to mention Undermine itself doesn't feel that great to me either and I don't zone in there much to begin with, about half of the activities on this list don't count for me.
The whole renown track this time is just unlocking more potential stuff from the same two activities: scrap and DRIVE, the first of which is an even more irritating version of the big dig which I never even finished collecting from cos it was so dull. As a player that's not massively into M+, this entire expansion has been utter crap so far :(
Hazel should get more attention here, she is always kind and sweet and above all she really likes the game.More Hazel for WoWhead pls.
I still don’t know what Surge Pricing is even though I’ve done it every week. The quest is just somehow always completed when I go to turn the others in. 😅
Undermine is a bit more fun than Siren isles. But still as pointless. as a solo player who plays the game for fun, not PVP or Raids or dungeons, the delv system is nice I can take as long as i want. Yet the drive system is corny and has no real fun a small cramped area. I would like to see more fun activities rather than new features that cater to the high end gaming / pvp people.
I appreciate Wowhead taking the opportunity to highlight an article for those of us who -don't- run current group content, for whatever reason. There are more of us than people think, I have a feeling.Of course, my stable of alts is so far behind because I have SO MUCH stuff to do that most of this list isn't even relevant for me yet, but it's nice to acknowledge that not everyone cares about Mythics or high-end raiding. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt twenty years ago, and just plain don't have time to bother anymore. I play WoW in dribs and drabs throughout the day, half an hour here, half an hour there, and anything beyond an easy-to-queue for LFG/LFR (or something my spouse and I can duo) is just no longer a possibility. While I never felt alone (I think there are a LOT of us that play solo/mostly-solo), this makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
I know I should leave this alone, but...MMORPG.Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. Yep. I got it, holylight99. I do know what it means...But nowhere in there does it say that we have to all be playing *with* each other doing things *together* as a *group* - just that there's a whole lot of players all online at the same time. =)The argument that because it's an 'MMO' everyone should be doing group content constantly is as flawed as the argument that since the second half of the acronym involves 'RP', everyone should be roleplaying constantly would be...and that would be Silly, capital S. Large chunks - if not the majority - of the playerbase have never RP'd, and that's 100% okay. It's equally 100% okay if large chunks of the playerbase aren't interested in group content. Everyone is allowed to play their own way.
More Hazel!<3
