Love Witch's Sweeper

Sounds and fragrances of love swirl in the air with a hint of nefarious undertones as a strange love sickness clouds the hearts of the denizens of Azeroth. Uncover the dark secret fueling this plague of passion.

When: February 3–17
Where: Located outside Orgrimmar and Stormwind, with portals to the Gala of Gifts found in major cities around Azeroth.

New This Year in The War Within

New things to love are coming to Khaz Algar during the Love is in the Air event, including some fresh rewards—Love Witch's Sweeper mount, Living Rose pet, and Ensemble: Truly Heartfelt Shoulders—new quests, additional locations, and even more dangerous scents cooked up by the Crown Chemical Co. During the Love is in the Air event, you can enter Shadowfang Keep for a new Heroic-difficulty fight with Apothecaries Hummel, Baxter, and Frye. And, show a little love to your alts—Love Tokens are now Warbound.

Love Witch's Sweeper Mount
Seize your chance to get this lovely mount from the first fight daily with Apothecary Hummel.

Living Rose
When being adored, emits beautifully intoxicating aromas. When ignored, those aromas become actually toxic.

Ensemble: Truly Heartfelt Shoulders
A fashionable ensemble that includes a set of spaulders and shoulder capes in bright, tickled pink.

Spread Gratitude at the Gala of Gifts
With help from the Artisan's Consortium, Stormwind and Orgrimmar are putting on a Gala of Gifts, where townsfolk can get tokens of kindness and affection for their loved ones. Complete quests, defeat Apothecary Hummel or donate to the Artisan's Consortium to earn Love Tokens and exchange them for exquisite rewards.

The Gala of Gifts can be found outside Stormwind and Orgrimmar, with portals to the festivities located in major cities across Azeroth. Gala directors Luciano Delgado (Alliance) and Mahaja Cloudsong (Horde) will help ensure you enjoy your time.

The Trouble with Love
Inspector Snip Snagglebolt and Detective Snap Snagglebolt are on the case again! The Crown Chemical Co. has been kicked out, but something still smells like trouble. Team up with Snagglebolt and his new companion, O.D.I.E., the robotic canine, to sniff out the mystery!

Treat Yourself
Practice self-love by relaxing, relieving stress, and whatever self-care means when you make a scenic getaway through a magic portal, helping others as you revisit interesting places around Azeroth.

To escape to a world of tranquil peace, visit the following daily quest-givers, Gabbo Blinkwink (Alliance) and Aurora Vabsley (Horde). To pamper yourself in self-love, visit the daily quest-givers, Ying (Alliance) and Ning (Horde).

Spread the Love in Cataclysm Classic: February 3–17

The Cataclysm Classic version of Love is in the Air is also available to those looking for a little love in a hostile world. Head over to Orgrimmar or Stormwind to take part.

The vicious Crown Chemical Co. is at large, scheming from within Shadowfang Keep. Help the Steamwheedle Cartel put an end to this threat, and you’ll be fabulously rewarded. Obtain the following item level 378 rewards when you defeat the Crown Chemical Co.:

In addition, you’ll have a chance to obtain the X45-Heartbreaker mount.

Achievements
Get the following Love is in the Air event achievements in Cataclysm Classic:

*Be Mine - Eat eight "Bag of Candies" heart candies.
*Charming - Create 12 Lovely Charm Bracelets.
*Dangerous Love - Assist the Steamwheedle Cartel in stopping the sinister Crown Chemical Co. plot.
*Fistful of Love - Use a Handful of Rose Petals on specific race/class combinations.
*Flirt with Disaster - Get completely smashed, put on your best perfume, throw a handful of rose petals on Jeremiah Payson or Sraaz and then kiss them. You'll regret it in the morning.
*I Pitied the Fool - Pity the Love Fool at specific locations.
*Lonely? - Enjoy a Buttermilk Delight with someone in Dalaran at a Romantic Picnic during the Love is in the Air celebration.
Lovely Luck is on Your Side - Open a Lovely Dress Box and receive a Lovely Black Dress.
*My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose - Obtain a Bouquet of Ebon Roses during the Love is in the Air Celebration.
*Nation of Adoration - Complete the Lovely Charm Bracelet daily quest for each capital city of your faction.
Perma-Peddle - Obtain a permanent Peddlefeet pet by procuring a Truesilver Shafted Arrow.
*The Rocket's Pink Glare - Shoot off 10 Love Rockets in 20 seconds or less.
*Shafted! - Shoot 10 players with the Silver Shafted Arrow.
*Sweet Tooth - Sample various Love is in the Air candies.
Tough Love - Defeat the trio of Crown Chemical Co. apothecaries in Shadowfang Keep.

*Required achievements to unlock Fool for Love, a meta-achievement awards the title "The Love Fool". Fool for Love is part of the meta-achievements required to complete "What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been", which awards the Violet Proto-Drake mount.

The way they have this mount drop for a very limited timed event is beyond me. You will get 5 times the daily chance at both mounts with the increased first run of the day droprate on all 5, assuming all 5 accounts are present for the same kill. The mounts can be learned at level 10 and as long as the accounts are on the same Battle.net it will share with your main account. No extra subscriptions needed.

Love Witch's Sweeper: New item. Only drops from the first box of the day, bad luck protection increases chance of getting it on later attempts

X-45 Heartbreaker: Legacy item. Increased chance to drop from first box of the day, small chance to drop from later boxes, no BLP

Renewed Proto-Drake: Love Armor: Legacy item. Has a small chance to drop from any box, no BLP

Because he only missed one day, and hasn't seen it yet - not holding my breath for tomorrow). I for the absolute life of me Do. Not. Understand. why we can't just farm a metric crapload of the currency and BUY the friggin rocket at this point.

Also, what I really dislike is the slap in the face of the sweeper only being one chance a day. People with alts should be able to increase their chances on a per-character basis. Everyone's had the ability to make alts, if they chose not to, that's their problem, not mine. Want to keep people from cheat-farming it with trials and fresh characters? No problem, make it so trial characters/characters under <X level> can't loot the box.
