I don't even really know anything about Johanna and don't particularly trust her to explain Blizzard's games to or be entertaining with Conan. Everything I've read about her is so dry and corporate.
She doesn't really know much about Blizzard Games to be the one to talk about them.A dry corporate focused money maker.Hopefully not a Bobby Genderswap at the Barbershop
It's a wonder why all this company's games are falling off a cliff.Surely can't be because they spend more money on marketing and special celebrity interviews than they do on game development.
RemovedPeople keep confusing Blizzard Entertainment with Activision Blizzard. With that being said, her professional experience IS a good indicator of the direction she is probably going to push ATVI going forward. And spoiler alert, it is not in a direction that most players of Blizzard Entertainment are necessarily looking forward to. She actually sees not being a gamer as a positive (apparently though, she does play Diablo?). With the deep background in Sports, and COD I'd wager that she will lean more on the new vision of seasonal-esque content, temporary and rotational systems and overall less substance for all games across the companies. I'd also imagine more cross-platform projects to and from MS as things merge more and more.
Still have no idea who she is and what she actually does, or has done, what she plays, and if she even has an understanding of what made these particular games so special in the past. And with the state of several of this company's games, it isn't a problem to question who she is - especially after the $90+ actual FOMO dinosaur and lack of IP cohesion.
She said in her intro that she's really into Diablo IV: https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/article/24062302/introducing-johanna-faries-as-the-new-president-of-blizzard-entertainmentMy guess and hope is that she's played many Blizzard games since joining and will talk enthusiastically about them with Conan. Let's wait and see?
I still don't understand who she really is in the whole Blizzard history.Metzen or Morhaime, I could understand. They had history with the company. But not her. I will wait a few more years to be interested by her explanations about the companyin the mean time, a quick summary by wowhead will be enough.
Boring, boring Sidney
I didn't even know who she was or that she was in that position. Probably not a good sign.
I'd never heard of her until this article.
Well this tell you where blizzard is headed, what's left of it anyway.
She’s never played a game in her life
Umm, why is the President of Blizzard someone that had no involvement with creating Warcraft or WoW? Is this why things have been so off the last 2 years?Shadowlands introducing trans characters and non binary characters *lots of male characters with female voices and vice versaDragonflight having more of the same as above, but also with an unfinished expansion and nothing for the second year of it's life, except for two game modes that no one ever asked for. War Within with a rushed release and a smaller size, with only two major patches, more game mode nonsense, etc. What is going on? I hope this president had nothing to do with these horrible things.
She ruined CoD and guess what she's gonna ruin next (hope you enjoy TWW being the least content filled seasonal xpac since WoD).
Suits talking...like the EA Suit talking about Veilguard would have been a success if it was a live service.Suits are just out of touch with gamers needs
