I really like the idea of Xal'atath being in SoD. Would even be interesting to see her show up in the other Classic versions. Time travel, multiverse. She's scheming across them all.
I have no faith in the devs doing anything with her in SoD.
would be interesting if all this is leading up to whatever they have in store after SoD. its definitely possible that classic and retail will intermingle (if not only a matter of time). But with all the "devs don't know what they're doing" and "SoD is dead" comments. I expect nothing will be expanded and its just a fun little thing the devs are doing until SoD is actually ended.
They took too long to do something w/ the massive hype that they had with her. Too little too late. Not enough ppl left to care, and even less have any faith that this classic team can do justice to the story.
goto moonglade with void-touched wep
When you void-touch a weapon, she doesn't appear but says "so you've found your way back to me"
Season of Disappointment... Who gives a damn about some random NPC, give us new dungeons and raids already lol. Classic Plus, more like Retail Minus...
They already confirmed Scarlet Crusade and Karazhan content during the anniversary announcement. I am not sure what people are crying about when it comes to new content when they have already promised new content. Regardless, if the shadowy figure does turn out to be Xal'atath then this just confirms more of what classic andy's already fear/hate, classic turning into retail cash grab. If the stories are crossing over each other, then it is only a matter of time before the spirit of classic is drowned in cash grabs and retail nonsense. The classic spirit is already diminished in SoD, with the way gear progression and character power level are scaling. We even have dailies for a steady income and all the old grueling grinds are bypassed by random systems that the devs made in the name of "accelerated progress for seasonal/temporary content". Even if they manage to successfully pull off the cross-over lore wise, anyone that thinks that this is good for the future of classic is huffing copium and buying into exactly what blizzard wants: Retail Minus. If anyone claims that they are a classic supporter, they should deny just about everything that SoD has offered the classic community and demand the devs re-evaluate what the spirit of classic is and what makes it so special.
It's incredible to me how nobody here seems to understand that Season of Discovery is its own mode, and not the same as Classic, which is already a thing going on elsewhere. Just because they're using Classic as a framework, doesn't mean this was meant to be that mode. This is more akin to Pandaria Remix, but with more random stuff happening. It always has been. Y'all lost the thread somewhere...
