At some point, Azeroth will be completely pasted over. It's always funny that we didn't know about these islands beforehand. xD

Apart from now Khaz'Algar, Pandaria and The Dragon Isle were the only other two we technically didn't know where they were located (although we did know they existed, somewhere).

But we knew most of them?

That is...small to say the least. Looks like a fraction of the size of Pandaria :|

It's a Earthen area there is a lot of stuff underground.

It's starting to look like that meme

yes. it is small. its a small island. all the other zones are underground

I think the scaling of the continents is all out of whack. IMO they should reduce the size of Zandalar, Kul Tiras, Dragon Isles, Broken Isles, and Khaz Algar on the map. There is no way that Kul Tiras alone is as large as the entire northern half of the Eastern Kingdoms.

I know the world map is meant to be a "game menu" to navigate the world, but as of BfA it has begun to look like cartographical vomit and only looks more comical every time they paste an island somewhere. Just my $0.02

The Draenei use space ships and have satellites over Azeroth.
They don't tell anyone because no one asks.

It has to be pretty much impossible to be here a few minutes after this article is posted and not know all but one of the new zones are underground.

I mean, even in the most commonly used maps of Earth we have countries/continents that appear larger than they actually are. Antarctica, Russia, Greenland and probably Canada all appear larger than they are scaled for due to it being a flat map of a globe.

I've been waiting for this to finally get added! And I gotta be honest... I don't like it. I don't understand why it needs to show the underground part of the region? It really doesn't blend well with the rest of the map... Just let it be a landmass like the rest. Once you click on it you'll get to the region map anyway, which shows the underground zones...

Comment by Bwgmon

The island itself is small because it'd be silly to inflate a single zone to Pandaria's size, the surrounding areas indicate there's more to the region than just the island, and to make the area easier to quickly click on when you're flipping through the map.

It's fine.

Comment by Mioko

Agreed, the surroundings of the actual island really look weird on the world map

Comment by Tastelikelemon

Why the area around the isle is blue tho compared to the rest ?

Yes, but the size of the zone is significantly smaller than Pandaria. Yes, I'm talking about the entire border of the zone and not just the landmass in the middle of it.

If the world map scaling is just bad (no surprise I guess), then fine, but the way it's currently presented isn't very great.

Eastern kingdoms and Kalimdor have gotten so far apart at this point
