Templar/Crusader when?

It's a game about Angels & Demons, how can you drop the ball so hard to literally not have it as a playable class from launch, nor the expac?

Start offering more classes from the go or PoE 2 is going to bury you and rightfully so.

They didn't. Clearly you didn't pay attention to the lore. After the events of D3, the High Heavens turned their back on Sanctuary. Paladins and Crusaders got their power because:
1. They had their Nephalem Heritage
2. The High Heavens gave them power due to that Heritage.

The very fact that the High Heavens turned its back on Sanctuary means that power is no longer being granted. Whatever Crusader you may see in D4 is not the same Crusaders in D3... they're full of doubt and fear, which are traits that would never be allowed to exist in the D3 Crusaders. D4 Crusaders are getting their power from somewhere else, most likely because most of those Crusaders also belong to Inarius' cult.

People really need to educate themselves on this topic instead of insisting they bring the class back and hope that if they say it enough it will magically happen. They know it's a class people want, but everything Ron has stated thus far indicates they wont be giving us old classes anytime soon.

This is a timestamp video of Ron stating:

Again, much like I've heard the general feedback; I've definitely heard the Paladin and Crusader feedback of people wanting those characters to come back, but you know one of the things I think... we did a lot on the 5 that we shipped with to tap into the nostalgia stuff. And so I think as we look to the future, I think we're more sort of interested in bringing in new things, right? Like, how do we continue to innovate in the space of characters and classes... so everybody's like "bring back the Monk and bring back the Witch Doctor, and bring back the Paladin" and we're like "Or, hear me out. We could give you something completely new

And then there's this interview Ron did:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RoYHp7hA_4&t=2014s

I think we did a really great job with our 5 classes to again look to playstyles and respecting the past. And so, what I'm really looking forward too is more... new things. I think a lot of people keep going back to "Oh, I want to see this thing you did from a previous game or this thing from a previous game." I'm really looking at it like, "Where can we take it... different. What can we do, that's new, in the Diablo space as opposed to only pulling from the past.

This completely tells me they know people want previous classes to reappear, but that they really aren't interested in bring back any of the older classes any time soon. They clearly want new classes, even if that new class might be a hybrid.

But who knows. They could completely surprise us and offer the Paladin, or some holy class, as a standalone DLC not too far off in the future, provided they don't release a different old class or another new class.

My bet though, is we will need to wait at least a year or more, since they also stated that they want expansions to be annually. We're already getting a new class with this next expansion. Not offering a holy class with an expansion, complete with their comeback story, would be very cheap and wouldn't vibe with the current lore.
