Amirdrassil Weekly DPS Rankings - Dragonflight Season 3 Week 20

Specs considered underpowered are generally played less and tend to appear weaker than they are.

This happens as many performance-oriented players tend to play the strongest spec or class, increasing the gap between top and bottom specs even further.

Position of specs for the 95th percentile might be skewed by alternative strategies and parse funneling. We're including the chart showing all percentiles' results to paint a better picture for all specs.

can ret get some buffs ? my shiny glowing button is not doing enough damage

Comment by lovelywaz

Fix the Augvoker hooks or whatever the heck those are called, and BM Hunters are exactly where they belong every - single - patch!

It's rather pathetic they are even below the so called "Support" spec.

Comment by Shirofune

It's funny how the patch started, with Havoc and BM being on top, and look where they are now.

Comment by trincle

The comments on these are hilarious, were seeing about a 6% disparity (ignoring aug and sub because sub has good timings) between the highest and lowest performing specs lol. How much *!@#ing closer can these reasonably be with reworks being in and out of the rotation. This is as close to perfect as we can get, if there had to be something to &*!@# about balance wise it would 100% be every m+ tank being miles below vdh, and brew/pwar being even further below ppal/bear.

If you use this as an excuse for doing low damage, well.. that would be unfortunate.

I agree, nerf ret.

These charts mean nothing when you combine the entire raid. Certain fights have massive damage amps and niches that certain classes do WAY better at. See demo lock on Tindral and Moonkin on council

Agreed. Compare these against Classic/Wrath disparities for how hilarious it is that people still complain LOUDLY in retail about class balance.

If Bliz ever does reach parity between the classes, the complaints will likely shift to "nobody cares who makes up raids anymore because all the classes are the same".

I don't think being strong in one specific niche (cleave) justifies being below average or flat out bad in ST, specially in a spec with a complexity as high as Havoc. Or as some people like to put "but you're good in the last two bosses". Yeah, I might as well not play in all the other 7 I wager.

That's basically its situation atm. Getting massively prompted in the charts because of cleave damage, but any ST scenario they're thrown down a cliff. Not to mention the spec got ST nerfs in the first weeks when everyone said it didn't nerfs in that specific area. But well, Blizzard be Blizzard.

Change the raid scenario back to Aberrus and Havoc would be trash (again).

Not to mention those niches don't apply to some specs. What's Ret weakness currently? The spec has been so massively buffed it doesn't have a bad scenario anymore.

Rets biggest weakness is that we need to choose between ST and AOE.
I lose ~51K ST (~20%) damage in AOE spec.
I lose ~250K (~30%) AOE in ST spec.
On top on this we need to choose between AOE or ST for every finisher we use, final verdict or divine storm.

This is a basically a zero problem for DH, you play very similar specs for ST and AOE.
When I sim my DH the difference is 2% ST and 4% AOE
You also don't have a finisher where you have to choose between AOE/ST all the time.

That being said, rets are still strong but this is a big weakness.

Really good balance at the moment

Comment by Nyte1103

Hell yeah brother.... BM hunter still absolute dog. Thanks for the 3% buff that you then instantly took away.... we were 100% to strong.

Absolute dog you say, and yet it's *checks list* the second most played spec. Something doesn't add up here.

Comment by ApocalypseAP

Like, the balance is fairly close here. I don't see why anyone would complain purely about numbers. More valid to complain about playstyle, gameplay and talent disparities between ST and AOE.

Comment by Krokuzan

OMG just buff Ret, needs to be on top cmmon Blizz.

Comment by Planeteer

Props to the team for an incredibly close balance here. Play what's fun, everyone!
