Most of this is, of course, to be retconned in a few years due to “unreliable narrator”.
I just got redirected here - there's a bit of a misconception in this article. When it comes to the decade mark, it clearly states "mature into a drake" in the book, not a full-on adult.Drakes are not mature dragons, and Wrathion is definitely still a drake, even being called a whelp by Voraxian in one of the questlines in the Forbidden Reach. War of the Scaleborn also makes sure to hammer in at multiple points, that drakes aren't fully grown.Based on the War of the Scaleborn's timeline, mature dragons would be closer to 500.
This might've been great when DF launched, but dragons are going to be super irrelevant going forward especially since Danuser is gone.
It also confirms Night Elves are naturally smarter than Trolls on a genetic level. Which is pretty cool!
I doubt Chromatus will ever come up in-game, since he's basically just a gender-swapped Tiamat from D&D.
Curious about the commercial success for this. I feel like the narrative team has managed to turn everyone away from the lore with Dragonflight and Shadowlands.
How long is the chapter that explains how the Jailer is behind it all?
There's a typo in the title of the last section, "In-Unvierse Books"
Another book of lore that should just be in the game. I am glad to see that the cloud serpents are given proper love, since pretty much everyone didn't recognize them as real dragons. Proto-Drakes being referred to as Primordial Dragons makes them feel more like dinosaurs, and unlike other stupid name changes (BIG LOVE ROCKET), I'd totally be fine with proto-drake mounts being renamed as primordial dragons; "Time-Lost Primordial Dragon" sounds a hell of a lot cooler than "Time-Lost Proto-Drake", for example. Also, I'm sick of Chromie. Annoying voice, ugly character, and way too prominent. Nozdormu has a LIVING wife and heir, so why forsake them for this forced character? Or were they killed off in some book nobody read as well?
I'm sorry Blizzard. But you've made me hate the dragons.I actually think WoW dragons are the worst fantasy dragons in ANY story.
