When creating a Hardcore Character, you will have to agree that the character can not be resurrected after death for any reason, and deliberately causing deaths for other players can cause action against your account, such as a ban.

PvP can't be auto-flagged with just a right click attack, it can only be activated by intentionally flagging with the /pvp command or right clicking your portrait to enable it.

Duel to the Death is a new mechanic, where players can Mak'gora to the death.

Hardcore players can't queue for Battlegrounds, as it would go against the spirit of Battleground PvP. Players can still wargame if they choose.

If your character dies, you can't resurrect but you can release as a ghost. Additionally, you can also transfer your character for free to a Classic Era realm.

All raid content will be available at launch for Hardcore Realms.

Dungeons will have a 24 hour timer, only allowing players to clear each dungeon once per day.

Kiting mobs across zones will not work, resetting the leash on the enemy mob.

Class changes consistent of no Resurrection spells, no Soulstones for Warlocks, and no Rebirth for Shamans. Additionally, Paladins will not be able to "Bubble Hearth"

The Buff and Debuff limit will be removed on Hardcore realms.

Flask of Petrification will remain unchanged on Hardcore realms.

Trading will be allowed, as well as the Auction House, and mailboxes.

Solo Self Found or "SSF" might be an option implemented at a later date, Blizzard is discussing it.

Bet a lot of people (like myself) are a little miffed not getting any communication about what is going to be done / at least letting us know they hear how messed up things feel currently. 1) you can never impress or make a classic "andy" happy, they will always think blizzard is out to get them and they will always think anything blizzard cooks up is "bad"
2) just go play your addon version of hardcore if thats what you want
3) Keep trying to say retail/DF is dead when its the most popular wow has been since Legion, idk why yall wanna keep gaslighting yourself into thinking DF is the worst game ever. Yu have no data and you people just say these things becuase it makes you feel better, somehow? When you're literally spam running 1-20 and dying in the same content all day in hardcore, your opinion is clearly flawed at that point and DF has 0 bearing whatsoever on classic. Just don't play DF if you dont like it, and the people who enjoy it will keep playing it while you get to do actually the same thing over and over in hardcore, or you can play vanilla OR WOTLK, literally 4 ways to play wow, 4 different games for 4 different types of people and yall still wanna talk about the other versions of the game you clearly dont play or dont want to play?
