Great that they clarified this.
So whats the point of having WT4 gatekeeping uniques if there's an extra gatekeep of the uniques in form of monster level.
This is not a "hunt item", this is nigh on unobtainable for 99.99% of the player base anyone devoting time to trying to get these as a drop are delusional.
TLDR: you need to do nightmare dungeons 31+ to even have a chance of finding them and then the chance is still close to zero.
So TLDR; ignore any builds that recommend these unique items if they don't have alternative options listed for you. Most people are done playing this game.... or at least that character.... by the time their character hits level 80.
Why can’t Blizzard do a better job detailing this type of info? WoW has a dungeon journal, why can’t D4 have a journal showing the available uniques and putting in something that says, “these only drop from monsters 85+.” There’s too much obscure stuff in this game and dataminers or people experimenting are having to figure out that should be easily accessible information. I’m not saying spoil all of the surprises, but people even have a hard time understanding what certain affects or crowd control mechanics do because the in-game info is so basic. People shouldn’t have to rely so heavily on third party websites, or developers sending out the occasional Tweet, to know this stuff.
if you have ever played any other ARPG with market economy and with incredibly rare chase items you would known that those items start to appear literally on a day 1. And by this day, and with such online(as in D4), there would already be thousands of them.And i’m talking about incredibly rare items that you could see only one in thousands hours of gameplay(HH,mageblood from poe or Griffon/Ber/jah runes from d2).So again anyone who’s assuming that this droprates are intentional - have no basic ARPG knowledge or it is devs who are completly out of touch.
The drop rate would feel more justified if Diablo 4 actually had trading.

And the 7th drops, you trash that character and start a new one coz seasons :D
