Revival Catalyst Will Be Enabled for Dragonflight Season 2 on June 13 (NA) / June 14 (EU)

Blizzard's Dragonflight Season 2 Update Blue Post

When the Revival Catalyst is enabled, all characters will gain a charge. Just like before, spending a charge on one character doesn't influence charges on additional characters.

This also means there will no longer be a quest for Revival Catalyst charges - All characters will gain a charge at the beginning of every WoW week.

The Catalyst is also being worked on to allow Dragonflight Season 1 to continue being catalyzed for transmog purposes for free. However, this functionality will not be available once the Revival Catalyst is disabled at the end of Season 1. Once the Catalyst returns, you will be able to transform Season 1 pieces for free, no charges required.

Revival CatalystWhen the Catalyst opens the week of June 13, all players will receive a charge for every one of their characters. These will function the same as they always have - if your Main spends a few to convert items early in the season, it doesn’t impact your alt (or any alt characters you may make in the future).Unlike in Shadowlands Season 3, there will be no cost associated beyond the charge spent. No Cosmic Flux, no Dragon Isles Supplies, no Apexis Crystals - if you’ve done the work of obtaining a convertible item, that’s enough.We’re also working to make it possible for players to convert Season 1 items for transmog purposes. This functionality, however, will be disabled for a few weeks as the Catalyst will be unavailable for a time, starting when Season 1 ends. Our goal is that players who are trying to use Season 1-level gear to get their Season 1 transmog set will only need an appropriate piece to convert. The cost will be free and players would not need to accumulate any kind of charges.

It's not that bad as previously. M+ players will be able to get 4pcs in 5th week of S2. Mild shock.

So 5 weeks if I am not wrong, shorter than season 1.

Comment by Chuchundrik

Good thing I hoarded a metric ton of 385 tokens. S1 transmog sets, here I come.

Nice that it's shorter than season 1. Right now it looks like everyone but leather-wearing classes won't even be wearing their tier sets in pvp, though.

Leather = 1287 versa
Cloth = 267
Mail = 181
Plate = 172

All leather classes will use tier without any thought and everyone else will skip it.

I certainly hope they add a BoA function to the Untapped Forbidden Knowledge. I'm currently up to my ears in the taboo insight provided by the Reach, and my alts are being deprived of this knowledge!

Must you condemn them to a life of ignorance, Blizzard!

This is the way.

You still need 3 weeks till you have your 4pc, after the catalyst opens, without good vault luck. so you have your 4pc after 8 instead of 10 weeks. wow (this includes the heroic set item for 2,2k raiting). Still way to long. Should be max 6 weeks.

The catalyst for s1 should have been uncapped with 10.0.7, there is no reason for it to still be capped. Now people will sell their S1 items after S2 launch. You can still get 385 tokens after s2 launch for lfr (?) appearance, but doubt you can easily get items for heroic and mythic appearances.

Another fail for Blizz - and such an easy thing to make right and show respect for the players....

Just make it 2 weeks. WFR is over by then.

Yeah. And uncap it after, dunno, 6 weeks? No reason to annoy transmog collectors.

This is so bad. Stop timegating.

don't you mean 8th/9thh week? (Assuming unlucky vault/unlucky raid and getting 0 tier for 5 raid weeks).
5th week unlocks with 1 charge, so it will take 3 more weeks after it to get

No quest is good. I wound up missing a few weeks due to being on vacation. It sucked.

Good thing D4 is around the corner for when the catalyst opens gives me time to play something good

Gonna miss out on the 4 piece tier bonus on my monk by one week because I accidentally catalysed the wrong item, bah

I hope this means that the 385 pieces from the new island actually converts to LFR tier pieces? I don't want normal tier pieces.

It’s not just RTWF it’s also players who go for hall of fame ( they will over do the bosses for first week cause of the race , once the race is over they will implement nerfs weeks after till it fills up)

Comment by zugzugzuug

so i have to raid to get my tier cool

Comment by Extort

So dumb just make it week 1, I literally don't want to raid for tier.

No. We already know that 359 -> LFR, 385 -> Normal, 395 -> Heroic. I don't see this changing in S2 for S1 gear.

You can convert 359 at the catalyst, then upgrade to 385, then to 395. That would unlock all 3 tints.

Or if you only want LFR tint, even easier, buy 359 pieces and convert. No need to farm gear tokens.
