Not bad only +30% difference between the 1st and last spec! Of course boss damage is what counts, who cares about the trashmob dps gods before the Boss encounter, especially if they still do not drop anything ;)
It's consistently funny seeing comments here from people who clearly don't actually raid and have never actually experienced the fights, their mechanics or requirements, and don't understand how to read overall damage and damage to bosses, or their significance. Like how Evoker or Windwalker can certainly pad their damage on the add fights, but will not be able to have the same impact in single target damage which is crucial in getting through Stormsurges. I as a 400 ilvl SV Hunter had higher DPS then the 411-413 Windwalker, Frost Mage, and Enhance Shammy in our AOTC run last Friday, mainly because I was specced and stronger on single target which is far more important on H Ras.Like the fact everyone keeps going 'oh noes' about Hunter having low overall due to low AOE, but not a peep about Windwalker's abysmal single target on the 'Damage to bosses' chart is telling. How many actually looked at both charts? Heck, there's very little difference between all specs for Overall, so everyone's total encounter damage is actually very even.
Funny fact:Assassination rogue is at the bottom on mythic and at the top on heroic.
I get the point everybody is making with regards to BM being solid in ST raid scenarios, but it doesn't change the fact that we are absolute rubbish tier in m+ because of literally zero burst, pathetically worthless cleave, and horrible survivability.It doesn't help that we can only build one of two ways: either focus on pure ST and no cleave whatsoever, or we can have mediocre cleave with barely passable ST that nearly makes it not worth it. Depending on the team comp, even on fortified weeks I might just stay pure ST to wail on the bosses if the other two DPS are cleave heavy like WW or feral. Why compromise when I can just focus on the one singular area we excel at?I don't expect us to be buffed to be as good at cleave as we are ST, but something has to be done to fix the sorry state we are in when it comes to m+ prospects.
