Duskwatch Arcblade when?

Comment by LunarAurora

Isn’t this stuff already available from other sources? Pretty sure those Nightborne appearances are from timewalking and I’m pretty sure I have that intellect dagger appearance…

Comment by Righthero

Oh yeah. Legion didn’t have weapons. Nice of them to retrofit weapons in to make them more rewarding as we go back to them.

I don't think they're meant to be "new" items. They're just adding weapons to dungeons that didn't drop weapons before so they are more enticing to run on m+ during DF season 1.

Comment by Arviu

nope, the glaive + dagger are not available, unfortunately

Comment by DestinBlanc

I know. I know. It's not meant to be new models. It's meant to fill the gap of these dungeons not originally having weapons drops because of Artifacts. But....I still want it to be new models lol

Comment by the9tail

Heh a problem I didnt realise they had to fix - I wonder if this will factor into future dungeon additions as it would be "effort" to add more weapons.

Why Skovald? He only uses 2h & Aegis of Aggramar sometimew, Hyrja already has full shield tactics, she should drop its shield.

Comment by KenjiT28

Excited to see that shield is being added, finally. Those Nightborne weapins, however, are already available from the Legion timewalking vendor. It would be nice to see more Vrykul weapons to go with the shield and the armor from Trial of Valor.

Because the dungeons are in rotations this expansion and they want to incentivize doing the last boss of the dungeon i reckon.

Oh, I like that staff. Very nice

You may be surprised to learn that most of the items bosses drop look nothing like anything they're actually wearing. Time-honored WoW tradition.

But, Skovald isn't the last boss. Odin is.

Can we for the love of god get the belf heritage spears and shields already

Was very silly that 2 of the season 4 dungeons just didn't have weapon drops, nice to see them acknowledge this.

Retrofitting a dungeon with a few new items with existing models during the process of scaling for the modern game does take some effort, Sure. But it’s WAAAAAY less time than building full new dungeons from scratch. And it was a common complaint for Kara in season 4 not having any weapon drops.

Overall, I’m real glad they are revisiting older dungeons and updating them for the current game

Comment by MaximusPM

I've been wanting the valarjar/vrykul weapons from Legion since... well... Legion. Too bad it's only just one of them.

Comment by ThorakNightfang

The only thing worthy to grind is the shield, that LOOKS like it belongs to the Vrykul, the other ones are just forgettable.

Comment by deathlavitz

I do not know loot balances but wouldn't COS having another weapon be better, 3 for each?

Going back to the Legion dungeons, it makes sense that there were no weapon drops due to the fact we had the Artifact weapons and all their appearances that are still obtainable except for the original mage tower looks! They were a legendary weapon themselves and people still use their earned appearances for transmog. That expansion revolved around our use of the Artifacts so even Return to Karastan they didn't need weapon droos. I have kept all my artifacts on my toons. When they brought out Legion timewalking in Shadowlands, they had to add weapon looks we saw from the npc's in Legion, like the staff you saw Thalyssra using and the Aegis of Aggramar, that was a pillar of creation in Legion. They are purchasable with timewalking badges. So, it makes further sense they have to do more of the same in Dragonflight when using Legion dungeons for Mythic Plus sense there was no need for weapon drops back when they were current content in Legion. For Season 4 of Shadowlands, they could of used the raid looks of Karazhan since that was originally a raid in BC and changed to a mega-dungeon in Legion.
