I'm pretty sure AQ didn't need any buffs. But no, let's turn Classic into retail instead of bringing Retail back to Classic. Brilliant. I don't think these muppets actually get what made people like Classic in the first place.

All you people who said you wanted Classic+, is this what you actually wanted? Classic with mechanics from retail?

Comment by Melbeline

Honestly, after playing so many different interations of vanilla, this sound really cool !

Comment by Rokman

The real questions is can I chronoboon my Skeletal Artifact buffs??????????????????

I would have prefered new content, but new mechanics are also welcomed. If you don't want any changes on bosses, the "classic" AQ is still available on official classic servers

Comment by Zoura

Wow, are you really whining about it.. Im not even playing SoM and this looks damn awesome, should be happy they do such thing and what it means for the future of classic. But no, always whine - Not even a inch happy.

Comment by Arkthugal

I imagine that The Immortal is probably for completing the whole of Season of Mastery without dying.

Comment by Innuendo

This is Seasons of Mastery, not Classic. Seasons of Mastery was billed as Classic but with re-tooling using modern game design.

If you don't like that, Classic Forever still exists. Forever. Go there instead of whining here.

Comment by Spluaks

All people saying about "go play classic if you don't like som" Yeah with a population of -10 persons and all content already open, yeah I'm going there sure bro, you're pathetics. About SoM changes those are more than welcome, Classic need more changes and more seasons with this kind of stuff. In fact I would love to see changes to the classes and more to the raids.

Comment by ArtlasFrame

Hey man, its understandable if you think these mechanical changes and buffs are too hard for you. But as others have pointed, you can enjoy your true 'classic' experience in Classic.

Comment by Furydeath

are the alliance having that hard of time in SoM?

Something no one is doing I mean they are waiting for ZG to even touch BWL

Love the tinkering. Gets my hopes up for actual Classic+ season

SoM is dead outside like 5 guilds that can clear the raids

Comment by KidGonzy

All season of mastery has been was "let's add mechanics into fights that either don't make sense or just adds artificial difficulty."

But, oh, so much as even voice one negative opinion on it and you're """whining""".

In my honest opinion, I believe it's time for people to find a new game or actually move on in life and stop with their man child behavior finally.

To the ones who basically say "just play actual classic 4head", no. You're missing the point entirely.

People who have valid complaints about Season of Mastery are pretty much people who wanted to see something other than just an unpolished, completely unchanged vanilla WoW. Massive buffs to exp and gold, adding mechanics that make retail look like a better experience. (inb4 "just play retail then 4head")
This is not what people actually want, and don't get me started on the actual classic servers for Vanilla and Burning Crusade. (When Wrath of the Lich King Classic comes about...it's going to be business as usual. Or maybe even worse.)

Classic servers have brought upon nothing but anger, sadness and disappointment, and it looks as though Season of Mastery turns that up to 11. Comes to show you that nostalgia is nothing but a problematic and exploitable thing.

Not to say that Retail is any good either. Time and time again, it's been proven by their actions that Blizzard has failed to deliver anything worth praise for the past four years. Battle for Azeroth, Shadowlands, WoW Classic, Season of Mastery. All great concepts, completely botched by bad decisions, horrible practices and a need for more money.

Why do we continue to support a company like this.

Why continue to give benefit of the doubt, just because of the little positive things they bring? It's like trying to find the diamond in an island of spikes.

Wake up. This isn't 2006 or 2008 anymore. This is unacceptable.

Comment by Kurzogg

This is so cool! I hope Ahn'Qiraj and Naxxramas prove to be grand challenges!

Comment by Lorenta

SoM is dead outside like 5 guilds that can clear the raids

Now that's ridiculous, there are plenty of guilds clearing the content, and far more than 5.

The top 5 guilds alone have 2+ raid groups each, not to mention joms GDKP on ally has 4 teams that clears everything. Plenty of people successfully completing SoM.

Just because new mechanics are added it has to be "retail"? Why can't we just accept the fact that new mechanics and refreshed content can still be fun without being lumped together with retail? SoM is literally nothing like retail, so ya'll are just reaching and trying to gatekeep peoples fun. It's really kind of sad and shows that ya'll aren't having fun playing, so you feel the need to ruin other peoples.

These changes to SoM have been AMAZING literally the only thing they shoulda done better was a few class balances to give Meme specs a real fighting chance.

The Immortal title would be interesting. That would pose quite a challenge, especially in comparison to baby Naxx in WOTLK.
