March 10th Hotfixes - Encrypted Affix Changes

MARCH 10, 2022Achievements

Qualified characters have been awarded the Tormented Hero: Shadowlands Season 2 achievement and title.

Classes

Death Knight

Blood

(2) Set Bonus: The Strength buff and Dancing Rune Weapon duration extension effects will now be correctly applied to Heart Strikes cast by the Death Knight’s Dancing Rune Weapons.

Unholy

(4) Set Bonus: Harvest Time will now be correctly applied when the target is killed by Soul Reaper.

Shaman

Enhancement

Lava Lash will once again refresh Flame Shock on your primary target.
Fixed an issue where refreshing Flame Shocks with Lava Lash would not prioritize targets with Lashing Flames in some situations.

Dungeons and Raids

Sepulcher of the First Ones

Adjusting the location of devourers in Ephemeral Plains to help make pulls clearer and reduce the concentration of enemies.
Vigilant Guardian

Vigilant Guardian’s health reduced by 5% on Raid Finder difficulty.

Lihuvim, Principal Architect

Degeneration Automa’s Degenerate now has a maximum range of 30 yards.

Halondrus the Reclaimer

Decreased the amount of damage Eternity Overdrive gains per application to 42% of its original value on all difficulties (was 50%).
Fixed an issue that caused Halondrus to sometimes delay Relocation Form while casting other spells in quick succession.
Fixed an issue that caused Shatter to not display its entire visual effect if Projected Textures were disabled in System settings.
Fixed an issue that caused the stone gates in the Shimmering Cliffs to not close properly when the encounter ends in failure.

Mythic+

Encrypted Affix

You now only need to destroy 1 relic to summon your desired automa. After destroying the first relic in a set, the other two are destroyed automatically.

Developers’ note: This should be a small quality of life improvement in terms of both the amount of damage required to summon an automa (especially on bosses), and the amount of time extra nameplates spend on the screen.

Fixed an issue where the wrong automa could be summoned after defeating a set of relics.
Adjusted the spawn locations of several Xy Relic Dealers.
Halls of Atonement

Echelon

Fixed an issue causing Relics to not properly spawn when arriving in the encounter area.

The Necrotic Wake

Amarth

Fixed an issue causing Relics to not properly spawn.

Surgeon Stitchflesh

Fixed an issue that caused Stitchflesh’s Creation to hit Wo, Vy or Urh automa with Meat Hook.

Developers’ note: The Vy Interceptor frequently teleports to a new location, which can be a frustrating obstacle to a well-aimed Meat Hook during the encounter. This change should remove the unfair overlap of these two abilities.

Tazavesh: So’leah’s Gambit

Hylbrande

Vault Purifiers no longer immediately attack players as soon as they land.

Items and Rewards

The Sandworn Chest minimap icon will no longer appear once a player has looted the chest once that day.
The Sandworn Chest can now be looted by more players before despawning.
Fixed an issue where Reclaimer’s Intensity Core trinket would unintentionally pull nearby enemies toward the user after the Automa Medic expires. It now has learned who’s friendly and who’s not.

Player versus Player

Fixed an issue with the trinket quest “A New Deal” that prevented the trinkets from being obtainable by players as intended.

Developers’ note: If you’re still encountering the issue and can’t see the trinket rewards, relogging back into the game should resolve it.

this affix is just a failure -.-

on paper it sounds democracy (which is bad on its own) but is rather, what is marked, then what guide said is best (ignoring specs and pull patterns), what is best for player x's dps cd ranking (and fear of deplete) oh and who has the best opener ofc sp/affliction vs combustion/dance

More things that would really help gambit would be to,

Make it so fire spawns doesn't ever target the tank for Timecap'n.

Nerf Haymaker on Deckhand mobs unless you want to see a required kite fest in every key (why was the ability sword toss that you simply dodged nerfed to hell and replaced by a tank buster in Haymaker when Brackish Bolts were enough to worry about)

You may want to nerf Wandering Pulse in some fashion or possibly just allow the two Starseers to be pulled separately.

The Stormheim area isn't bad, just annoying to sometimes have to scan through 50 nameplates to find the fish sticks. If anything I would remove a Scalebinder from any pack with two or make it easier to CC one before combat for non rogue/hunter CC, but it's not that big of a deal.

It might need a timer adjustment but it's not as horrible as Taz Streets.

Taz Streets really needs some adjustments.

Too much RP going on.

So many casts going off from trash in 1st boss room but no one wants to kick anything but Stasis Beam to ensure they don't helplessly die. (Pug issue but still) Not allowing Stasis Beam to target the tank especially and the healer would at least allow two people to not have to worry about holding their kicks/cc.

Cartel Muscles tank buster could use a nerf or again could just not allow two in one pack.

Instruments bug out where people are unable to pick them up sometimes at Myza. (pre 9.2 after going ahead to Post Master then returning to Myza after they would work again, not sure if still possible but needs to be fixed regardless.)

Being forced to hop off the drums when haste lights are going off because of green acid spawning on you is kinda annoying.

Post Master just isn't a fun fight by any means. (When can I pop meta and not waste most of it because of the constant mechanics requiring you to run everywhere?) A little breathing room from mechs would be nice.

Grand Menagerie just needs the bug fixed where Gluttonous Feast is disappearing, pre 9.2 I believe it would only disappeared if someone died with it but now I don't know what's causing it but it's happening in almost every run for me. Could also reduce RP on GM or not make the fight auto start if ppl want to start RP then kill trash.

So'azmi can be kind of annoying similar to Post Master, especially for people with ground placed CDs, and his mechanics appear to be completely random. Bigger issues are when Shuri goes off and teleports won't stop moving. Or when there's 4 corners and Shuri spawns directly on top of the only teleport anyone can enter. Or more rarely, there's 4 corners and there is no teleport where everyone is. (Seen this pre 9.2) Triple technique (though named Double Technique) happening outside of hardmode (not sure if I seen this since 9.2 dropped). Finally his dagger toss melee hits seems pretty nasty for tanks but it might not actually need a nerf.

There is also a bug where So'azmi is resetting at the start of the fight for no apparent reason leading to people wasting CDs and hero. I've also read reports this happening on Post Master (I kind of recall seeing him reset myself).

Finally, probably a timer adjustment is needed for Streets.Comment by thanyouNot sure why they reverted the Flame shock change, it was honestly entirely fair that it didn't refresh on main target because of the way the spread is coded.

Its not just adding the dot to nearby targets, it CASTS Flame Shock on AS MANY targets as it can each time you Lava Lash... Which means in single target you are adding 1k~ to each Lava Lash cast because of the initial Flame Shock damage (which is modified by Lashing Flames btw).

I'm all for enhance buffs, just seemed like they were trying to address this with the last hotfix, so its strange to see it reverted.
