In what proved to be a scary-good Global Finals, Echo prevailed as the champion with $150,000 (USD) prizing and the Mythic Dungeon International (MDI) gold medals!The most winning team in MDI history, and now four-time champions, Echo has continued their incredible run after defeating Aster.Y 3-1 in the MDI Global Finals. Aster.Y, the first team out of China to make a top 2 in MDI history, will receive the silver medals while Ambition, winners of the Season 2 Last Stand Tournament to qualify for the Global Finals, will take home bronze. Heading into the Lower Finals when Aster.Y faced off Ambition to advance to the Grand Finals, AutomaticJak wasn’t mincing his words as he declared this to be “the most competitive Global Finals that we’ve ever had. The best teams that we’ve ever had, across the board.”
Echo entered the weekend in fifth seed, quickly defeating both Complexity and then Ambition to advance to the Semi-finals. Here they squared off against Aster.Y in their first meetup of the tournament, ultimately pulling off 2-1 victory to secure a spot in the Grand Finals. Facing off once more, Aster.Y took initial victory in the Halls of Atonement, but Echo quickly rallied to claim the next three wins in Theater of Pain, The Necrotic Wake, and finally Spires of Ascension “Four times MDI champion, I cannot even believe it,” said Echo player “Gingi” during a post-match interview. “The tournament this season, I think the competition level has never been higher. I am super proud of my team, they just played out of their minds. I’m a very emotional player, in order to be good at anything if you don’t have emotion or don’t care about then you most likely won’t become good at it. I take loss very badly, but that gives me that drive and urge to win that much more.”While the Global Finals may have ended, competitive dungeon-running will return December 10-12 for The Great Push Season 2! Teams can register on Gamebattles now to compete in the initial Proving Grounds and to try to earn the exclusive Tormented Banner of the Opportune and a shot to advance to the top six teams. So many great and close games. Most of those 2:0 on the Board could have gone either way, just in a matter of seconds. And still we got some moments to remind us, that those players are on the very edge every split second of the game, and everything that looks like "crane kick lololool" can totally blow up to a full team wipe anytime. We dont need target cap, if Big Pulls are so freaking dangerous by itself.

Congratz to Echo. One thing that stood out over all the great teams and strats is, that Echo allways, in every run, on every pull can just squeeze out some more dps then everyone else.Comment by VSozonovCongrats to Echo. Games have always had an aspect of competative play and about being the best at it. High scores in arcades, fighting game tournements in the early 90s, esports in the 70s and so on. Even classic WoW had that with grand marshall title in vanilla. The only difference now is that these people are more visible thanks to it being easier to show around the world, but makes very little difference in game.never played real multiplayer games did you?
but the real point is you do care otherwise you would just ignore the comp scene i mean it has zero impact on your gaming exp if you just ignore it and if you dont ignore it there is also a close to zero impact because even the learning part is not that much easy to reproduce those players devote alot of time into practice
and just watching them does not make you a better player it just gives you ideas on what you can practice in order to increase your performance

but if you dont care about it and just want to play the game well then do that ignore the comp scene and just play the game

Problem is nearly every online game franchise always had competition and toxicity.Well no its not competition that breeds toxicity in online games its anonymity you can do almost everything you want because the worst case is you get banned very very rarely do you have to face consequences in real life for your online behaviour. And that invites for toxic behaviour same problem with social media plattforms

the problem is the internet and its anonymity which has its advantages and disadvantages
and competition is something that will always exist in games in online or offline games because there will always be people who are better then you are
