Man these e-sport shenanigans are ruining the game, imo.

@TOPIC
This event sounds like it has the same issue I described above.
Pieces pushing a LFR raid, really? Come on...

Hope someone can find enjoyment on that, but I would be much more interested if it had any actual difficulty(##RESPBREAK##)272##DELIM##Uchur##DELIM##Off-topic part has been removed

How does this affect gameplay in any shape or form?
It is something being done by third parties out of enjoyment and love for the game, this will neither impact you, as an individual, nor how the game plays.
If it does not interest you do not tune into it, and most importantly avoid making posts like these as they stir up meaningless and usually toxic debates and that in turn adds to the fire of fueling the community's hate and toxicity, so I would say that this attitude hurts more the game than these third party events that affect no one but those interested in them.

MDI didn't influence M+ comps and tactics either, right?

It never did in fact...
MDI was always a bunch of overgeared +26 pushers, pushing a +18 key. They just trample the dungeon in 15 minutes in completely specific ways, it was never about M+ pushing actual metagame

The only thing MDI and M+ pushing have in common are the players

imagine a timed competition not starting a the same time for the competitors xD

So even 1st place will only reward $250 per player. Does not seem worth the hassle of playing through this awful, boring raid...

$250 is not enough for an hour and half of work... ok.

<FlashPoint KTB>, previously known as <Intern Killed This Boss>, will compete in the third bracket starting at 3:00 PM PST / 00:00 CEST.

Wasn't <FlashPoint KTB> formally <Intern Made This Boss>?

when you break it down to how much each player is earning in the top 3 spots it doesn't seem like a lot of money, then again I've never heard of this sponsor and will forget about them in an hour so, its really just $10,000 to advertise yourself to the right target audience.
