Azuremyst ist one of my all-time favorite zones in the game, and I'm shocked right now. This is stunningly beautiful. Can't believe someone chose to recreate this zone in Unreal Engine. I'm so thankful they did this, this is pure art. I'm in love with this scenery.

Is he using Unreal Engine in any way he can?

Okay no but really it looks really nice!

People always say
"I wish I could play this in a game"
No you don't, you'll have to play on such low settings, you'd wish the game was never created so you don't feel sad when you don't even get close to the look you want.

Or you'll play on such low FPS you'll wish you never played the game because of your suffering.

WoW 2: return of the space goats

As is the case with these things every time, it doesn't fit WoW.

However, I would absolutely play an ARPG spin-off set in Azeroth, looking like this.

These are visions of the future my dude. Let the naive people throw out superlatives and the intelligent people enjoy the professional work by an amazing artist. Don't be such a "techy". Most of us know this is not possible with consumer hardware right now, but it was created by a person on a computer, so the possibility is pretty much already there, as long as we keep getting faster and smarter computers.

Actually am happy about a Wowhead post for once. My Draenei origins, and my visual satisfaction braincells approve! :-)

Comment by Geddeh

Just because the tech isnt there yet doesnt mean people will stop wanting games at that sort of fidelity. What even are you ranting about?

Will never understand the American *obsession* with turning everything to photorealism.

Blizzard listen, no do not do a wow 2. Instead do this. Use the 2k devs you plan to hire by end of next year and use them to fully upgrade current wow into Unreal engine 4 graphics. Simple as that. These youtubers do this solo, no excuse to not be able to do this within the next 2 xpacs from now using the 2k extra devs you are hiring.

ppl pay up to x10 the prices of a ps5 retails price just to play lame ps5 games. ppl will down whatever price a system you need to handle a unreal engine 4 WoW.

Comment by SnakeEyes327

Sure, but that being said, seeing something like this and taking it as a what a more faithful 1 to 1 representation of what the game can't give us, and using it as a basis is also just as fun,

Wow, someone has an issue with artistic talent. And varieties of art styles. You need to chill.

Looks good enough, but the dynamic decal and lighting rendering changes ruined it for me. This is especially noticeable during the pan shot from 0:16 to 0:30.

This looks amazing. Something we could see in Blizzard's cinematic for WoW actually. Very similar style. As for these graphics in the game - they could probably work well with DLSS2.0 and with a little bit lower quality textures and more stylized art direction like we have in current wow. But the vibe could be similar.

Maybe for this year but in 10 years when maybe most of us will stop playing games . The PCs will have the power of a server and the GPUs will can render with 200 fps a games with a movie quality in VR mode .
