So, The Arbiter’s platform...?

Comment by coolfreezer

I would bet my a** that we will "lose" the fight. She probably will die, but her death is just a distraction so that the Jailer can claim the missing sigil from the Arbiter.
Mythic only phase will probably give us a glimpse of the Jailers true power.

Comment by tupolew519

This is more like it! :)

Comment by margifish

Prediction: Sylvie discovers during the last phase that ("surprise"!) obviously evil villain Zovaal IS in fact, irredeemably evil just like we all knew and that he tricked her with the Val'kyr (who will turn out to just have been Mawsworn all along) into thinking she was doomed to the Maw so she'd be so desperate to avoid her 'fate' that she'd agree to serve his goals to avoid it. Furious at having been the one played for once, she'll turn against him in a Vader-like moment and help us defeat him, not because it's the right thing to do, but because she'll be angry at having been betrayed. Whether she'll survive the Vadering remains to be seen, but we're getting the 'definitive' Sylvanas novel in November that's going to be covering her story from beginning to end? so we'll see.

Yes she is :D It is different for you because you don't like her from personal reasons but if you had ( and I think you r not ) follow story about her you would know she is one of op characters in lore :D

Thats exactly why he fixed blizzards writing. You are either the best, or among the best. You can't be by far one of the best. So she is one of the best, but that implies not the best by definition.

Blizzard just used some bad writing and he fixed it. "By far one of the" is just poor and bad english. Like and dislike for Sylvanas plays no role in his fix.

Comment by wardenm

Kinda sad to see Kel'thuzad go out like that... Don't get me wrong, seems like a cool lich fight and all, just... was hoping to see more come from his machinations than just being another power hungry big bad, you know? An Arthas tie in, plots beyond the Jailer's scheme, something.

Comment by AceOfSomething

As much as I'm kind of bored of the Sylvanas soap-opera that the past expansion or two has been, I'm vaguely curious as to where Blizzard intends to go from here.

Shadowlands opened with the Jailer basically having his own "legion of doom" united against the living of Azeroth, and in the space of launch and a single patch we will have killed or defeated all of them. I can't help but feel that this is rushing the expansion quite oddly: for months they've been hyping this up as The Biggest Baddest Threat Ever (tm) and we've spanked it in half the time it took to dispose of the Legion.

Why do I foresee some kind of "expectations subverted" moment on the cards, wherein the Jailer is disposed of in 9.2 and the Real Real Bigger Badder Bad is unveiled? Because unless they're making this expansion as short as WoD, they've burned through quite a lot of their roster and story hooks already.

Nah. There must always be a lich king, to keep creating death knights and forsaken, and to keep the scourge from overtaking Azeroth. Sylvanas will die for sure in the raid, but she'll come back to life. The Primus -- who originally forged the Helm of Domination and Frostmourne, and who rules a landscape of necromancy, where those who were ferocious and determined can continue fighting forever -- will empower Sylvanas to be the new lich king. The Banshee Queen will wear a new helm of domination, and she'll rule Icecrown forever. She'll create new death knights and new forsaken because the game needs that class and that race.

Get ready, the real real badder badder will be whoever shut down the Arbiter. Most likely a First One. Or it will turn out that it was Denathrius all along, scheming with his Nathrezim. Or it turns out Sylvanas and the Jailer were right and we end up using the Nathrezim knowledge to topple all the other powers in the universe, considering they know their flaws.

Comment by kalistoh

I doubt it. I think Sylvanas knows for sure that Zovaal is not good, but her end-game is to free the Shadowlands from what looks like an imposed order, so that when all we die we could choose or afterlife instead of someone else choosing it for us.

Comment by ImaLemming

I still think Helya was the one who shut down the Arbiter: after we beat her in Trial of Valor she slipped into the Shadowlands and clocked the Arbiter, then fled into the Maw to be with the Jailer's other chums.
