I get such joy every time I see they've released another vid. That cut of just how long we get to enjoy the loading screen and music made me snort my coffee.
I, as I am sure many others, ran into a problem as far back as TBC where I had a PvE spec and a PvP spec, for me it was Playing a Rogue, in PvE I was Combat Swords but it in BG I was Mutilate/Hemo. I would have to avoid group PvE with my sub optimal spec and vice versa for PvP content. Multi-Spec happened and its great (For the most part). We as players have vastly different opinions on what makes or doesn't make great gameplay but we should all able to agree being able to switch specs a la my example or from Tank to DPS, or DPS to Healer is great and good for the game and opens up possibilities that help players engage with content. Here's the problem though with Covenants, players are viewing Covenants as a spec within their class, that they should be able to switch to, and conduits as talents that they should be able to rearrange. Blizzard from what I can tell are trying to make Covenants a "Class" distinction. So, while the players are saying "pull the rip cord" let us change covenants to suit content, it's not the design philosophy Blizzard intended. To Blizzard its Akin to a Rogue suggesting that because a fury warrior is better on Fight X, the Rogue should be able to switch to Fury for Fight X, and because Demon Hunter is better for Content Y the Rogue should be able to switch to Demon Hunter, Despite these not being Rogue Specs. To alleviate being locked into this decision, and probably because it's only an expansion feature they have methods where you can change, just not on a whim. Similar to how you can just reroll to whatever the best class is currently, or have alts ready. (See: Stars kill of Yogg-Saron for stacking alts to suits boss mechanics, who has that many Locks geared and ready to go for an end boss anyway 0.o). Therefore Blizzard disagree with the players. TL;DR Player expectation and Blizzard design philosophy very rarely matches up, covenants should probably have, or be tuned to equal a slightly better than trash third trinket, cool if you have the best one, no great loss if you don't.
I enjoy watching them, not only are they rather witty and funny, but they discuss some issues that hadn't occurred to me. I'm sure some find them obnoxious at times but that is part of my enjoyment of them.............much more entertaining than some of the Bliz development videos to be honest. As others have said, don't watch them if you don't like them, it's your choice. Oh, and if you don't like them why don't you come up with your own instead of complaining ?
I hate the term "content creators" because it covers everything from the dude playing games on Twitch for 24/7 and the more cute cat/dogs videos you ever have seen, however, most of that is junkyard content in my personal opinion, however, this two create good content, the videos seem to be well research, represent multiple gender views, and they really love WoW and respect the developers, and best of all it's not the Angry YouTuber, my way or the highway show, or the I'm a game developer that never actually release a full game, but here are 10 videos how I know better than the Dev team working on this game for years, also here are my fake insider stories about that same team's mood right now, and the game is dying and losing subs because my videos get fewer views show!Huge thanks to Taliesin and Evitel and the Wowhead team for creating quality WoW Content!
Wow, another T&E episode! I can't wait to watch this with my wife's son. Thanks Wowhead team! <3
