Naxx-Era Rank 14 Weapons and Revamped Rank 10 PvP Sets Available in Phase 2 Classic

Patch 1.11 Notes

In an effort to keep their armies better outfitted the Horde and Alliance have both taken it upon themselves to update their available rewards.

An updated set of armor rewards have been added to vendors for Honor ranks 7, 8, and 10.
The armor rewards for Honor ranks 12 and 13 have been increased in level and stat point allocation.
New rank 14 weapons have been added! In order to give casters the same diversity of selection that melee currently enjoy we have added new caster items that are available to be purchased by Grand Marshals and High Warlords.

For all the huge grind honor system is, phase 6 naxx gear still is stronger. Some pieces, like shadow priest, are an exception, with their tier gear being focused on healing. Even for them tier 2.5 pieces offer slightly better stats - although the set bonuses(in my opinion) still put the PVP gear on top.

Of course, Phase 6 is a long time away, and even with that released it won't be easy to obtain the coveted BiS pieces from Naxx.

When I've tried to make the "Phase 6 PVE BiS" there wasn't a single piece on my mage from PVP. "Phase 6 PVP BiS" featured gloves, head and shoulders from the Epic PVP set for the 2 and 3-set bonus(while the items themselves are slightly worse, the set bonuses put them ahead), and 6 pieces of frostfire gear for awesome stats and 6-set bonus. Think about it - a Hardcore PVPer will eventually give up his Grand Marshal weapons and 3 out of 6 gear pieces - outclassed by PVE gears. Which is quite sad as it is? And in this era, ranking PvP takes far longer than anything else. There was a blue post some time ago stating exactly this:

"The items you earn from the PvP Rank Rewards will be the versions from patch 1.12"
