this was pretty obvious tbh, wouldn't make sense that cleansing would keep good effects too, should also make u wonder what the true prizes are for keeping the gift of N'zoth, btw there were sources at Blizzcon (blizz devs) who would tell you straight out if u had asked. Keeping the gift of N'zoth rewards u in shadowlands, something huge. Meanwhile siding with sylvanas will not alter anything in shadowlands, which in itself is a big news regarding what happens to sylvanas or what she becomes in the new xpac.
tbh I\u2019d rather pay one large sum for a guaranteed socket than RNG all day and hope (like diablo)

Blizzard wouldn't "punish" 3\/4 of the playerbase who decided to follow the questline to remove the Gift of N'Zoth. That questline wasn't the same as the Horde quest line which presented clear options with warnings. There was no warning to dissuade players from potential future rewards for keeping the Gift. So I call BS.
Is this Memento something you can obtain 24 hours or is it locked to World Quests and stuff?
so you get 445 crit damage bracers right away? seems good.

So I call BS.\r\rkeeping the gift was not their point either, the point was to have alts to do every possible path, same with shadowlands 4 alts at least to do each covenant's whole story. If u want all the xmogs then 1 of each armor type per covenant which is 16 toons. Also it is not punishing, as u can still get the gift in shadowlands on an alt, when shadowlands hits, new players have to start with BFA xpac storyline, doing any 1 storyline\/xpac can get u from lvl 1 to 50. So yeah, if u don't have the gift still on a toon then make another, the other thing is that most likely the shadowlands prepatch so 8.3.5 or 8.4 ect would have the new lvling system. If they were to remove the eye questline then I would not doubt the shadowlands prepatch would be the last chance catch up to have a toon that keeps it, even if u don't find out the questline is removed until beta or datamining. You do not need that much time since 1-5 (1-120) is 75% faster and simply completing bfa you would be max lvl. A worse route would be to last second trying to make 5 mill for the dino mount which would take ppl a buttload longer.
If you put a socket on an item using I hope the socket will remain on the item if you choose to cleanse it.\rAssuming that it will, but I'm not in a position to test it.

Don't need an entirely different finale gameplay experience like with Sylvanas, but some pay off that isn't just datamined whispers would be swell. I will settle for an action button I can press in the N'zoth room before pulling to turn hostile and murder my party(I know I can get that from flirting with Azshara already, but still)
IMHO gems just arent worth the cost in msot situations. (only for pros who try for leader boards)
IMHO gems just arent worth the cost in msot situations. (only for pros who try for leader boards)\r\rYou should really be using gems where you can, they are worth a considerable amount - even more so on items like bracers, capes and rings. \r\rI can't speak for your server but gems on mine are dirt cheap, kind of silly to not be using them.
IMHO gems just arent worth the cost in msot situations. (only for pros who try for leader boards)\r\rAre gems expensive on your realm? I'm on a low-to-medium pop realm and the gems are so cheap that I feel bad for jewelcrafters. It's basically (practically) free stats on gear you already have and sims show that they're very worth it. I don't mean this condescendingly at all, but sure, save your gold if you're just doing LFR and Daily Heroic, but if you're doing anything with your guild it's worth it to gem\/enchant.

5 corruption with a T3 effect seems like a little too little corruption, seeing as other gear with T3 effects have 20-25. I thought Ion stated that all items with a particular tier would have the same level of corruption.

I imagine a non corrupted item can still rng a socket?

So buying the item for 25k corrupted meme's is the only way.
Interesting to note: the build contains 4 wrist pieces as baseline corrupted items (https:\/\/ptr.wowhead.com\/armor\/min-level:400\/slot:9?filter=198;32593;0 will show you all 4 of them, in addition to some others added in the patch). As far as I'm aware, these and the weapons with special effects are the only items, that have corruption as baseline. I'm pretty sure those wrist items are the ones used for this first Assault cache.\r\rWhat that means is:\r\rthe secondary stats are pre-determined (e.g. Crit\/Haste for cloth)\rcurrently, this is a special corrupted stat. it's cheaper (5 corruption for tier 3). and it can STILL ROLL CORRUPTED on top of that (which is probably a bug that will be fixed later on). I got bracers with 30 corruption (5 + 25) and two tier 3 corruption bonuses on the ptr: https:\/\/imgur.com\/a\/nvbMHAS. If this is NOT considered a bug, this behaviour may also also apply to the weapons mentioned earlier. \rIf the tier 3 corruption bonus for 5 corruption stays, do NOT cleanse this item. It will last you as a filler item through the patch, every time you can sneak that extra 5 corruption in after a cloak upgrade.\r
Was excited to see what this new questline was. Turns out it was 2 quests, and pretty bare bones ones at that. But I guess it only takes two points to make a line, so you win this time!
Joke about mom still doing your laundry goes here.\r\rDammit, I thought I had something for this.
