Overview: Maut gains mana by [Devouring Magic], leaving behind magical voids of [Devoured Abyss].
Upon reaching full mana Maut becomes encased in [Obsidian Skin] and prepares to unleash [Obsidian Shatter]. When its cast completes or the mana shield is consumed, Maut will once again come alive to drain magic from its enemies.

Tanks:
Take turns tanking to mitigate the effects of [Shadow Claws] and [Shadow Wounds].
Utilize [Devoured Abyss] to escape the effects of [Stygian Annihilation] and interrupt the spellcasting of Dark Manifestations.
Intercept orbs of [Forbidden Mana] before they reach Maut and use their power to aid your allies.
DPS:
Utilize [Devoured Abyss] to escape the effects of [Stygian Annihilation].
Quickly break Maut's [Obsidian Skin] before it completes its cast of [Obsidian Shatter].
Destroy Dark Manifestations before they're able to aid Maut.
Healers:
Utilize [Devoured Abyss] to escape the effects of [Stygian Annihilation].
Avoid triggering [Drain Essence] near allies.

Stage One: Obsidian Destroyer:
Maut [Devours Magic] from players while wielding powerful Shadow magic.
Upon reaching full mana Maut transforms into an obsidian statue.

Devour Magic: Maut marks several players and after 6 sec consumes all magic around them, gaining mana for every player within 9 yards and inflicting 15 Shadow damage to all players hit.
The spell leaves behind a Devoured Abyss.

Devoured Abyss: An area devoid of magic that silences and prevents incoming healing, but grants immunity to all other magic for players and creatures within it.
Devoured Abyss also drains mana and inflicts 12 Shadow damage every 2 sec. This effect stacks.
Upon collapsing inflicts 75 Shadow damage to all units within 9 yds.

Stygian Annihilation: Maut causes ancient power to erupt throughout the chamber, inflicting 100 Shadow damage to all players.
Shadow Claws: Maut slashes its current target, inflicting 75 Physical damage and applying Shadow Wounds.

Shadow Wounds: Wounds resulting from Shadow Claws burn with dark energy, inflicting 12 Shadow damage every 2 sec for 24 sec.
This effect stacks.

Dark Manifestation: Maut causes shadows to coalesce at a nearby location, sucking in players and inflicting 75 Shadow damage to all players within 12 yds after 6 sec.
As the shadows collapse a Dark Manifestation is formed.

Dark Manifestation: Shadows twisted into a terrible manfestation of Ny'alotha's dark magic.

Dark Aegis: Swirling Shadow magic protects the Dark Manifestation, causing it to lose mana instead of health.
Dark Offering: The Dark Manifestation sheds up to 20% of its total mana and grants it to Maut.

Devour Manifestation: Maut destroys any Dark Manifestation within 20 yards, devouring part of its mana pool and adding it to its own. (Normal, Heroic, Mythic)

Consuming Shadows: Maut periodically inflicts Shadow damage to all players every 1 sec for 3 sec. Shadow damage increases as it gains mana.
Black Wings: Maut's wings unleash a blast of wind, knocking back all players in a 40 yard cone in front of the caster and inflicting 40 Physical damage. (Heroic, Mythic)
Ancient Curse: Maut afflicts players with an ancient curse, turning players to stone and slowing them by 15%.
When the curse is removed the stone shatters, inflicting 10 Physical damage on all allies.
If the curse remains after 24 sec the player is instantly slain. (Mythic)

Stage Two: Obsidian Statue:
Maut protects itself with [Obsidian Skin] and prepares to destroy its enemies with [Obsidian Shatter].
Maut transforms again when the mana shield is broken or its cast of Obsidian Shatter completes.

Obsidian Skin: Maut transforms into an obsidian statue protected by a mana shield. While the shield lasts, Maut loses mana instead of health and inflicts 100% of incoming damage back on attackers as Arcane damage.
Depleting Maut's mana breaks the spell and interrupts Obsidian Shatter.
Obsidian Shatter: Maut gathers power for 1.3 min. Upon finishing its channel Maut's mana shield shatters, inflicting 300 Shadow damage on all players.
Consumed Magic: Maut consumes 5% mana every 3 sec to permanently increase all magic damage done by 1%.
This effect stacks.
Forbidden Ritual: Maut draws orbs of mana from the altars around it.
Players or creatures that touch the orb explode, inflicting Arcane damage to all players based on how far the orb traveled. Each mana orb that reaches Maut restores up to 20% of its mana.
Players who touch the orb are afflicted with Forbidden Mana.

Forbidden Mana: Mana erupts from the player after 6 sec, granting allies within 20 yds 150% increased mana regeneration and increasing their healing done by 50% for 8 sec.

Drain Essence: Maut drains life and mana from players, inflicting 10 Shadow damage and burning 4 mana every 1 sec for 8 sec. While the spell lasts, Maut gains 1% mana every second.
Upon removal the spell erupts, inflicting 20 Shadow damage and burning 10 mana from allies within 8 yds. (Heroic, Mythic)

N'Zoth, the Corruptor

Despite being imprisoned deep beneath the waves by the titan-forged, N'Zoth's influence continued to corrupt Azeroth. Now, for the first time in millenia, the true form of N'Zoth the Corruptor is revealed. Unless he is stopped, the Black Empire will plunge Azeroth into an eternity of darkness.

Tanks:
Invoke [Azeroth's Radiance] strategically to ensure you and your allies remain sane in the face of N'Zoth's assault on your [Sanity].
Position carefully within the arena to ensure that [Mindgrasp] does not pull you into a [Veil of Anguish].
Move Psychus around the space strategically to control its placement of [Creeping Anguish].
Be certain that Basher Tentacles are tanked at all times, or they will cast [Tumultuous Burst].
Healers:
Invoke [Azeroth's Radiance] strategically to ensure you and your allies remain sane in the face of N'Zoth's assault on your [Sanity].
Position carefully within the arena to ensure that [Mindgrasp] does not pull you into a [Veil of Anguish].
Leave room for pairs of your allies with [Paranoia] to reach one another safely.
Dispel [Corrupted Mind] before it expires to preserve your allies' sanity.
Damage Dealers:
Invoke [Azeroth's Radiance] strategically to ensure you remain sane in the face of N'Zoth's assault on your [Sanity].
Position carefully within the arena to ensure that [Mindgrasp] does not pull you into a [Veil of Anguish].
Leave room for pairs of your allies with [Paranoia] to reach one another safely.
Maximize the effects of [Synaptic Shock] to bring down Psychus before it can cast [Manifest Madness].

Sanity: N'Zoth assaults your sanity throughout the encounter. When your sanity reaches 0, N'Zoth invades your mind fully, granting Gift of N'Zoth.

Gift of N'Zoth: Blesses an insane player with 100% increased damage done and 100% increased health, but causes the player to become a Servant of N'Zoth after 20 sec.

Servant of N'Zoth: Severs a target's connection to sanity, charming them permanently and causing them to do N'Zoth's bidding, casting Mental Decay.

Mental Decay: Deteriorates targeted players' minds, immediately draining 15 sanity and additionally inflicting 8 Shadow damage every second for 12 sec.

Azeroth's Radiance: Invoke the Heart of Azeroth, restoring 20 sanity every 1 sec for 4 sec.
Moving or attacking will break this effect.
Stage 1: Dominant Mind:
N'Zoth reaches into the minds of the players before him, giving them a glimpse into the infinite mind of the Corruptor. Inside dwells Psychus, the defender of N'Zoth's infinite Mindscape.

Glimpse of Infinity: Opens players' minds, showing them a glimpse into the infinite mind of N'Zoth.
Psychus

Mindwrack: Psychus' mental torment manifests as physical pain in the body of its current threat target, inflicting 30 Physical damage and increasing Physical damage taken by 33% for 14 sec.
Creeping Anguish: Psychus creates an zone of void energy at its location, which expands to cover 60 yards.
Players entering the zone are afflicted by Anguish.

Anguish: N'Zoth inflicts terrible anguish upon the player, inflicting 18 Shadow damage and 5 Sanity loss every 1 sec, and reducing the player's movement speed by 0%.

Synaptic Shock: Slaying an Exposed Synapse while Psychus is within 8 yards weakens N'Zoth's mind guardian, increasing damage dealt to Psychus by 50% for 20 sec.
This effect stacks.
Manifest Madness: Upon reaching full energy, Psychus channels Manifest Madness. While channeling, Psychus appears in all phases and takes 99% reduced damage. While channeling, it inflicts 30 Shadow damage and 20 sanity loss to all players every 2 sec.

Eyes of N'Zoth
Exposed Synapse

Probe Mind: Probes the thoughts of players within 20 yards, inflicting 3 Shadow damage every 2.
The Shadow damage inflicted by Probe Mind increases with each tick.
This effect breaks if the player moves 30 yards away from the caster.
Resilient Synapses: Heals all Exposed Synapses and Empowered Synapses to full health whenever another Exposed Synapse or Empowered Synapse is slain.

Reflected Self
Collapsing Mindscape: Slaying Psychus inflicts significant damage to the Mind of N'Zoth, destabilizing the current Mindscape.
Players within the Mind of N'Zoth after until cancelled are drained of 100% of their sanity.

Stage 2: Writhing Onslaught:
N'Zoth defends hismelf with a mass of tentacles, while some players brave N'Zoth's most coercive visions to weaken the Corruptor from inside his mind.

N'Zoth

Mindgrasp: N'Zoth worms his tendrils into the minds of all players, horrifying them into moving either toward or away from him.
Corrupted Neuron

Veil of Anguish: N'Zoth inflicts terrible anguish upon the player, inflicting 18 Shadow damage and 5 Sanity loss every 1 sec, and reducing the player's movement speed by 0%.

Anguish: N'Zoth inflicts terrible anguish upon the player, inflicting 18 Shadow damage and 5 Sanity loss every 1 sec, and reducing the player's movement speed by 0%.

Paranoia: N'Zoth selects pairs of players and fills their minds with all-consuming Paranoia for 15 sec.
Paranoid players must be within 5 yards of their paired partner or suffer 18 Shadow damage every 0.3 sec.
Players with Paranoia see all other players with whom they are not paired as terrifying Voidspawn. Coming within 5 yards of these players causes the player with Paranoia to suffer 5 Sanity damage every 0.3 sec.
Mindgate: N'Zoth opens a gate to the inner recesses of his mind, inviting players to gaze upon a vision of his infinite power.

Fettered Mind: Using a Mindgate to enter a Vision of N'Zoth puts unimaginable strain upon a player's mind, rendering them unable to enter a second Vision of N'Zoth. (Heroic, Mythic)

Basher Tentacle

Evolving Might: Damage inflicted increased by 3% every time the Basher Tentacle strikes an enemy with a melee attack.
Void Lash: Lashes out rapidly at the current threat target, inflicting 50 Physical damage and 25 Shadow damage every 0.8 sec for 6 sec.
Tumultuous Burst: Inflicts 15 Shadow damage to all players every 2 sec for 10 sec. Tumultuous Burst also reduces their Haste by 33%, and reduces their move speed by 33% for 10 sec.
Tumultuous Burst is only cast when no players are within melee range of a Basher Tentacle.

Corruptor Tentacle

Corrupted Mind: Corrupts a player's mind, inflicting 15 Shadow damage every 2 sec for 10 sec.
If Corrupted Mind expires without being dispelled, its victim loses 25 sanity.
Mind Flay: Inflicts 12 Shadow damage every 2 sec and reduces movement speed by 10% for 8 sec.

Spike Tentacle

Void Spike: Flings a spike of void energy, inflicting 15 Shadow damage.

Through the Mindgate: Players re-enter the Mind of N'Zoth via a defeated Mindgate Tentacle, intent on wounding the Old God's psyche and weakening his physical form. Players are subjected to N'Zoth's mental reconstruction of fearsome creatures over whom he has held sway in Azeroth.

Corruption of Deathwing: N'Zoth draws players into a vision of the shattering of the World Pillar, and the fearsome power of Deathwing corrupted by the Old God's relentless whispers.

Cataclysmic Flames: The Vision of Deathwing breathes deeply into the space, inflicting 8 Fire damage and causing 5 sanity loss to all players within the Mind of N'Zoth every 3 sec for 9 sec.

Flames of Insanity: The Flames of Insanity overwhelm players within 6 yards, inflicting 30 Fire damage and 10 sanity loss on impact.
The flames then burn the player for 10 Fire damage every 2 sec and disorient them for 6 sec.

Trecherous Bargain: N'Zoth conjures a troubling vision which reveals the treacherous covenant forged between Queen Azshara and Lady Sylvanas Windrunner.

Tread Lightly: The Vision of Queen Azshara decrees that all players within the Mind of N'Zoth shall Tread Lightly.
Moving while under this effect will trigger Contempt.

Contempt: The player is in contempt of their betters, causing them to suffer 5 sanity loss instantly. The contemptuous player then suffers 9 Frost damage every 1 sec until they come to a halt.

Black Volley: Inflicts 8 Shadow damage and causes 5 Sanity loss to every player within the Mind of N'Zoth every 1 sec for 3 sec.

Psychus

Mindwrack: Psychus' mental torment manifests as physical pain in the body of its current threat target, inflicting 30 Physical damage and increasing Physical damage taken by 33% for 14 sec.

N'Zoth bends reality, converging Ny'alotha and the Chamber of Heart on Azeroth. With the Chamber in his grasp, N'Zoth begins to fulfill his ultimate purpose: bringing the Black Empire to fruition on Azeroth.

N'Zoth

Mindgrasp: N'Zoth worms his tendrils into the minds of all players, horrifying them into moving either toward or away from him.
Paranoia: N'Zoth selects pairs of players and fills their minds with all-consuming Paranoia for 15 sec.
Paranoid players must be within 5 yards of their paired partner or suffer 18 Shadow damage every 0.3 sec.
Players with Paranoia see all other players with whom they are not paired as terrifying Voidspawn. Coming within 5 yards of these players causes the player with Paranoia to suffer 5 Sanity damage every 0.3 sec.
Evoke Anguish: N'Zoth taps into players' minds and evokes their darkest thoughts, inflicting 50 Shadow damage every 5 sec for 6 sec.

Upon expiration, Evoke Anguish leaves behind a growing pool of Anguish.

Anguish: N'Zoth inflicts terrible anguish upon the player, inflicting 18 Shadow damage and 5 Sanity loss every 1 sec, and reducing the player's movement speed by 0%.

Thought Harvester

Mindwrack: Psychus' mental torment manifests as physical pain in the body of its current threat target, inflicting 30 Physical damage and increasing Physical damage taken by 33% for 14 sec.
Harvest Thoughts: Harvests the thoughts of nearby players, draining 100 Sanity split between all players within 15 yards.
If Harvest Thoughts fails to hit a player, it will instead drain 40 Sanity from all players.
