Late with this but it's coming y'all.

Never played Diablo but that’s exciting for the fans! Hopefully it’s actually a fourth game and not some crap mobile one. Mobile games are so lacklustre

Comment by MaximusPM

They forgot Diablo Immortal.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was announced next week. It's definitely hiding out there so we're just waiting for official word and the details following.

Not really into Diablo myself but been hoping for it for a while now to give the fans something new.

How can a product be in development for two years and then "rebooted" because "Blizzard" wasn't happy with it? Who lets someone work on something for years with that kind of lack of oversight to the point where they have to start over? That right there says a lot about how Blizz works. I'm not advocating micromanagement at all levels, but two years?

Comment by Grimora

If they do a new one I hope to see more classes!

I have sorely missed my Druid since Diablo 2. =(

Comment by Pandafera

They forgot Diablo Immortal.

...but Diablo Immortal isn't "Diablo 4", cause Immortaal is before Diablo 3. Maybe its a magazine's mistake?

Comment by offspinner

Remember Titan? And, if you're old enough, Starcraft:Ghost? Also, Diablo III was restarted well into development IIRC. Par for the course for Blizzard.

Comment by tmptfate

They have done this many times. Look up their past cancelled games like Starcraft: Ghost.

Anthem was worked on for almost 4 years without even approaching a vertical slice, let alone an alpha. Diablo 3 itself was famously trapped in development hell for several years, as a result of teams changing, lack of clear vision, and adjusting to new technology.

Breakout the tinfoil hats!

Comment by adutzu89

It's not the first time. Remember project Titan which ended up being scraped and turned into Overwatch?
How about Starcraft Ghost?

Comment by Eighjan

They forgot Diablo Immortal.

Maybe everyone else wishes they could, too...

Comment by Drakenden

funny enough, if they didnt reboot but rather finish it and then release bad game, people would be pissed, but when they rather drown a lot of money in it bcs they want to release good game, people are pissed again :D theres really no way to satisfy the "fans" :D

This is par for the course for blizzard, and in a good way. This is why for the most part when they release something it is really good, they are not afraid to take a hit financialy if it means that what they do deliver is good. Warcraft Adventures, Titan, StarCraft Ghost, early StarCraft 1 and Diablo 3, even warcraft 3 went through some big changes before launch. I think it was Metzen who said some to the effect of they cancel just as many games as they release because they just are not upto their standards, and that's why blizz won't drop something like Wolfenstein Youngbloods.

Comment by Toraziyal

The ad says the book will release in November. Pretty sure the release date was set to after Blizzcon by Blizzard, but the Panini guys simply couldn't wait and thus offer it now for preordering.
Not too much of a problem though... the upcoming announcement of Diablo 4 is a very, very open secret by now. :)

Comment by Hezkezl

Can't wait to see this as a mistranslation or misunderstanding by this company mixing up 'Diablo Immortal' with 'Diablo IV'. I'll get my popcorn ready for the possibility!

Comment by alosiboy

You.. you really don't know a lot about game development, do you?

Comment by Lolus

If Metro is right again, D4 + D2 Re-whatever.

Comment by MilesCW

Just in case if there are any doubts: Panini is a well-known sticker book distributor here in Europe (edit) for over 50 years, therefore you can easily see this info as legit.
