It literally makes no sense for his prison to be in the Maelstrom. The entire thing exists because that was the Well of Eternity. It would have been blown to bits at the very least, and it makes no sense why the Titans would place an Old God literally underneath/beside a massive fount of power created by them wrenching another Old God from the spot.If anyone recalls Vashj’ir, you’ll remember N’zoth’s reach extended as far as Abyssal Depths. It’s quite likely, especially given that we’ve seen a part of N’zoth in northeast Stormsong Valley, that N’zoth is the size of a continent. He stretches at least from The Maelstrom to Stormsong and down to Vashj’ir. Perhaps the Titans couldn’t shrink him like they could the others? Or he was still powerful when he was bound and it seems put into hibernation of some sort (Xavius and his dream chains, needing Deathwing to be his avatar, etc.).Another related hypothesis could be N’zoth is bound by a triangulated series of chains that exert a force over him. So there wouldn’t need to be literal chains all over him and his cage, just at certain spots (I’m thinking like the Cadian Gate situation in 40K, or on a smaller scale, G’huun with the seals). This would allow for a part of the cage to be in Nazjatar and the other parts/seals to be elsewhere.
Wow's next expansion : Off with the whole world, theres nothing to do in it anyways, all continents replaced by the black empire and all new characters are created lvl 120 omegalul
Why N'zoths prison is just underwater chains, while Yoggs prison is titan fortress with numerous defensive and guard systems, titan avatars and re-origination option?
That last paragraph seems really farfetched. The Titans may not be able to stop him? All they have to do is reach down and squish him underneath a single finger. The real issue here is that they are currently chilling in their basement keeping an eye on Sargeras (and letting Illidan believe his presence makes even the tiniest, most miniscule bit of a difference).
I was already thinking that maybe if the sword gets disintegrated somehow (wasn't Deathwing in DS?), another Well might be built over the wound in Silitus.
I want to see a full blown continent on the backside of Azeroth the size of Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms... I want to see it as the site for the rise of the Black Empire. Killing N'zoth during this expansion would be dumb. An entire expansion based around a return of the Black Empire would be epic.
I love you guys, but this articles was rather poor in many places. My first point of contention is with the locations and maps. If you really want to triangulate the position, then please don't use the in-game map. Chronicle, that is already used for the first reference images, have a world map that is probably more correct than the notoriously not-to-scale game maps. If course this still places is in between the BfA continents, but they are significantly further away, and it is much closer to the Eye of Azshara in the Broken Isles than anything else. Also, there is very little mystical about Azshara supposedly moving things. Ships are famously mobile, that is in fact their purpose. And we have on multiple occasions moved the Tidestone of Golganneth, so really that is very loose ground to base anything on.To move N'zoth's prison, would implicate that N'zoth is being moved as well. You also note how large N'zoth is, and talk about how the Well was created when the Titans removed Y'shaarj from where it was embedded. This makes the idea that N'zoth can feasibly be moved at all one of the most unlikely things.Honestly, the most likely way to reconcile these things, is to imagine that the ruins, which are after all only stone structures on the surface were either not right next to the Well (perhaps a megalopolis), or moved by the blast or other means. All of this theorizing gets very far fetched really quick, and I am perhaps just getting too old for it.
Yes, let's punch Night Elves even more. Let's make them to be creatures created by the Old Gods! Soon non Night Elves fans will left! But for serious talking Sargeras and legion know about Well of the Eternity, and they are enemies of the N'Zot. So N'Zot for 100% is not under the Maelstorm. The best place for him to be is Silverpine forest. Thrall have seen something very evil hiding there underground.
I wonder how N'Zoth was able 10k years ago to literally transform drawn elves into nagas. For me it takes a lot of energy and power to do so. And he was imprisoned, for years prison defenses (if they were) can only break and become malfunction, so with time he can be only stronger. But he is doing nothing and is able to do almost nothing (it seems like he can only talk and command), what is illogical to what he was able to do before.
that "circle of stars search" is a meme at this point
I can't stand ppl talking about killing Sylv...Sylv did a lot of things wrong, but do not deserve to die or step down as warchief. It's world of warcraft not friendshipcraft.yay for xpansion being the black empire trought a void rift deep in the sea.
This was solid - I enjoyed this from a speculation standpoint.
