This. I am in a heroic raiding guild, but everything I get from raids ends up scrapped\/disenchanted these days. All my gear comes from M+, and lately also from well-itemized WQ EMISSARY ITEMS. I know in Legion emissaries were trash dispensers with the only incentive being a chance for a legendary, but BfA has gone too far in the other direction. I understand they want to give higher geared people an incentive to do WQs, but come on. No wonder people require Curve to join Normal pugs, ilvl doesn't mean anything anymore (not like Curve is a good indicator of anything either, but it's a different discussion altogether). \r

Also, no offense to anyone, but if you enjoy solo content, go play some singleplayers. Don't expect to get gear quality that requires a coordinated group of 10+ people to spend hours in a raid, when all you do is kill 10 murlocs, which can be done solo in literally minutes. In my opinion MMORPGS should be tuned so that even going outside of a city alone was a massive risk. I mean it has 'multiplayer' in the name for crying out loud.
