Battleground Bonus EventSign of BattleWhat is a Battleground?

Battlegrounds are a form of large scale PvP. You can queue with up to 5 party members, or by yourself and be matched up with others.

Your PvP ratings are not affected by wins and losses in regular Battlegrounds, as opposed to Rated Battlegrounds

You can start doing Battlegrounds at level 10, with a new bracket every 10 levels.

Comp Stomp PvP Brawl

You and other players will team up to fight against AI enemies, starting the week of March 19 when it becomes available for the first time.

Blizzard

A series of new twists on popular player-versus-player activities are on the way. Starting with “Southshore vs. Tarren Mill”, “Gravity Lapse”, and “Warsong Scramble”, PvP Brawls offer a variety of mode, rules, and scenic changes to the usual Battleground gameplay. Look for the Brawl option in the Group Finder (default hotkey: i) Player vs. Player tab, under the Casual selection.

Super excited about the new brawl!

Redone versions of the BGs sound pretty great. I hope the comp is easy to beat too.

:D

Comment by Radianshot

The brawl just became unavailable. Did they find a bug already and disabled it?

Comment by Oswaldovzki

I know it is suppose to be PvP, but I'm excited about this new one. Reminds me of the PvE brawls in Heroes of the Storm. I like the idea.

Comment by Deatheyes

Brawl is now available, log off and log back on!

Comment by Jorgee9001

Can you still get certain pvp achievements in the comp stomp? Like Arathi Basin All-Star?

Comment by Deatheyes

You cannot, I didn't get credit for capturing the Farm. Although I DCed and came back kicked so I don't know if wins count.

Comment by Samelane

im not sure whats going on.i logged in to check mine and it says new brawl in 6 days. guess wow is having issues.

Comment by Deatheyes

Wins DO count towards Arathi Basin Veteran surprisingly! You also get Defilers reputation in the BG. And yes the brawl is once again unavailable, they might be fixing some bugs. Sometimes your game crashes or DCs and removes everybody from the group.

Comment by zequill

Do the AB bot win count in the BG bonus event too?

Comment by Deatheyes

They do count for the 4 BG wins yup!

Comment by Zaphbot

Finally a Random BG I can play as a Horde player without having to wait 10-15 minutes, nice.

Comment by lucatri

Yeah, I got DC'ed at some point and when I came back, I was back in the original zone and couldn't get in the BG. Dunno if everyone else got kicked too.

I won my next Comp Stomp though, and it counted towards the weekly.

Also, the Brawl queue is hella bugged. When I was in Boralus, it wouldn't let me queue, it just said "Brawl in 6 days". I had to relog and teleport to my garrison for the queue to become available again.

Comment by Arity88

Queueing from the Legion Dalaran Underbelly works too. It's greyed out everywhere else.

ANother brawl where Alliance will cry about PVP.

Comment by JustinTravis

You do realize it's an AI brawl and not actual pvp

Comment by bloctoad

I saw three bots just chilling in the road during one match and another where they never left the starting gate. The AI team is getting an authentic AB experience!

Comment by snowdroppanda

I just queued for the Brawl and entered a bugged one - how you're stuck at the end of a match and can't move or anything? That's how it was, but I couldn't leave instance or anything. Had to alt+f4 out.

Comment by MsDirection

I love AB! This is gonna be interesting:-)

Comment by Aera

People figured out a reliable and easy AI-beating strategy almost immediately.

Spread out, cap all nodes but BS, and let the AI congregate uselessly at BS. They will trickle out to other nodes, but usually one by one, resulting in easy kills.
