Oooh, I thought it was gonna be about PTR stuff. We already know all that unfortunately :( Looking forward to really knowing who made Sylvanas warchief ...
Really loved this quest ! Can't wait to know more about Vol'jin.\rFeeling bad for the Alliance tho', they don't seem to have a lot of things like that lately...

On the one hand, I agree that it's lame to see the Horde get fun quests like this and the Saurfang questline, but on the other hand and MUCH more importantly, I'd rather have no Alliance-only quests at all than contrived ones.

After the epic and well written Night Warrior storyline the lack of Alliance-only quests doesn't feel that bad at all...
Darn, then I'll have to wait until I can wreck Jainas face. :>
Really loved this quest ! Can't wait to know more about Vol'jin.\rFeeling bad for the Alliance tho', they don't seem to have a lot of things like that lately...\r\rThere was no special horde quest to visit the kings boots on broken shore either. There is not always, not should there always be equal everything if it makes sense. That said im sure there could have been a lets check on jaina quest. Obvious faction bias though.
Hope we'll be able to bring the Horde back on Vol'jin's path soon! There was no special horde quest to visit the kings boots on broken shore either. Played that on my Alliance char, that questline was little more than an ingame cinematic. Plus, it was more a balance for the double Broken Shore cinematics. The Saurfang and Vol'jin questlines have more actual gameplay elements. Haven't done the Thros quests yet, so I can't compare them, but I as a Horde player would be happy if Alliance got more quests to even things out.(That doesn't mean I support any of the whining about bias for either side, or about the story quality as a whole)
Well you do kind of check on her. She\u2019s there in unity square with anduin after alliance completes the quest to kill rastakhan.
Do the requirements for the quest have to all be completed on the same character? I was going to finish the first part of the Vol'jin questline on my paladin, but my mage is the one that's exalted with the Zandalari.
i don't mind don't having alliance equivalents for this considering that jaina survived and mekkatorke will most likely come back. Not everything has to be 50\/50 all the time, this raid also proved that. because the alliance characters survived and rasthakan (pretty much horde) died.i guess that balancing things is difficult for blizzard in a 2 faction game. so is fine.
Alliance player here. On the one hand, I agree that it's lame to see the Horde get fun quests like this and the Saurfang questline, but on the other hand and MUCH more importantly, I'd rather have no Alliance-only quests at all than contrived ones.This. I all but retired my Horde characters
things dont have to be 50\/50 all the time\r\rsure sure but can we atleast sometimes have some stuff for ally players? as people said the ally only content usually comes to even out because horde had more stuff to begin with (like the double cinematic on legion and whatnot) first time they make players decision on a big scale of importance and there isnt anything for ally\rthe first raid was all about horde this one was suppose to be ours and even them horde gets way more stuff as always
Play both sides, get all the things. Removed.Horde get two unique questlines in the form of Saurfang and Vol'jin's storylines, complete with the addition of player choice. Alliance get nothing of the sort.Horde get a CGI cinematic about Zekhan and Saurfang. Alliance get a CGI cinematic about Anduin and... Saurfang.I get that the two factions aren't supposed to be equal all the time in terms of faction-unique content, but when am I going to receive anything like this as an Alliance player?
Is everyone forgetting the compass quest from the Broken Shore that only Alliance got in Legion, or..... \r\rPlay both sides, get lore from both sides. Easy solution to contrived problems.
This comment section was so nice until few people above me decided to chime in. Shame on you.
Did no one here do the Jains quest line after finishing the three Kul Tiran zones? It spanned all three zones and 4 mythic dungeons. It all balances out imo

Saurfang.I get that the two factions aren't supposed to be equal all the time in terms of faction-unique content, but when am I going to receive anything like this as an Alliance player? As an alliance player, out of lore topic, you receive a 30% stuff-receiving buff from warmode, a 385 ilvl piece of gear (400 one week ago) for just, well, being alliance and basically free camping horde players because there's some so-called "unbalance" in population between factions, which in fact, blizzard made it happen after adding a trinket for all races in Legion (making human active racial pretty much worthless in pvp since it shares cooldown), and making most of them going horde for the silence racial of blood elves for PvP purposes. Right after, alliance players started to cry over the fact blood elves had the advantage of having a silence, a trinket and obviously, two own trinkets of choice as a player. Then, how new of course, we as blood elves were removed our precious silence racial and we were given a free stealing buff racial, which in fact, alliances cry over about too, because blizzard decided to add a ton of scenarios in PvE, in which you are forced to remove a buff from a foe, and it is also worth in PvP scenarios.I mean, not to be harsh or anything, but now that we were given two extra quests about lore, and I remind you that you guys received a lore-specific questline in 7.2 about Anduin and Varian while we got nothing in exchange, basically does not affect your gameplay at all, you too seem unhappy while you're given other advantages coming off from a problem that blizzard itself created in the first place.
We already knew this. From the information we have the only one that is the embodiment of valor on Azeroth is Odyn. The only one that Odyn has power over in Shadowlands is Helya and he has a deal with Mueh'zala. So from the information we have right now we can conclude that Odyn got him out of Shadowlands by either Overpowering Helya or Mueh'zala gave him back as a bargain between old friends.Next quest line I bet my 2 warlocks on it that will involve Odyn in some way or another.P.S: I could not care less about who gets more cinematic.I think its just sily to cling on to it.You want to play a Horde unique lore event , play a Horde character. You want an Alliance unique storyline , play an Alliance character.Makes zero sense to involve Alliance in Vol'jin's investigation of who brought him back and who tricked him.Just like it makes zero sense to involve the Horde in Anduin\/Varian touchy moment. Also , Alliance always agree? Mate , Anduin sparked dissatisfaction with 2 Alliance leaders with one decision. You have 1 Alliance leader that did not help with the Burning of Teldrasil (ha , take that Night Elfs for laughing at Dark Iron Dwarfs for living under a volcano!) , I will assume thats just an inconsistency ( one of the many) with the story. You have AGAIN Anduin being too soft and releasing Saurfang without telling anyone but Shaw and lying to other Alliance leaders ( I bet you know there will be a cinematic about this and you know there will be some sort of cinematic about it ).Anduin , unknowingly , seems to play in the hands of N'zoth. He seems to have understood the whispers of that piece of azerite.
People are complaining that Alliance don't get any choices? Are they forgetting that the Saurfang choice wasn't originally planned and was shoehorned in after people complained?\r\rBlizz already have their short term plans, and while they've said they are looking for more places to give players more options, they're not gonna change things just because. \r\rWe'll see if anything comes up where choice even makes sense for Alliance.\r\r\r\rWell it's just a must because of the 2nd Horde Civil War that is obviously incoming, the Alliance leaders never disagree about anything so there is not much potential for special quest chains, except for some that are more related to races, like basically a lot of Legion content was about the Drainei (obviously), but yeah of course the Horde was able to play it too, we will see if something comes in the future.\r\rKinda this. The story is much more Horde-centric right now because Sylvanas has been the one deiving everything.\r\rWe may see more of a split over Darkshore? Maybe.
