This is nice. I kinda wish we had this for Uldir as why the alliance are even there and stuff is a mystery unless you played the horde story zones.
This is nice. I kinda wish we had this for Uldir as why the alliance are even there and stuff is a mystery unless you played the horde story zones.\r\rI have 120 on both sides, though I consider myself Horde. I was really curious on what the Alliance lore would be to go to Uldir.... if you are wondering there really wasn't any :P I don't think there was really any explanation as to how Brann got there to tell us about it.

who?
2 Alliance characters and 1 Horde, but only the Horde character dies.\r\rWhy they decided to kill Rastakhan is beyond me, he's someone people were waiting to meet for like 10 years and they kill him like 5 months into the expansion, and all that to prop up the boring character that is his daughter that no one even knew existed before BfA.
This is nice. I kinda wish we had this for Uldir as why the alliance are even there and stuff is a mystery unless you played the horde story zones.\r\rYeah, we thought it was a bit jarring and it sparked the idea to do a series of articles explaining the story a bit more. Glad it was useful!

Battle of Dazar'alor employs a special storytelling device, allowing each faction to see the events of the war from the opposite perspective. However, if you've only really played one faction, you may be unfamiliar with the importance and backstories of the characters you are fighting against. Who are the major characters in Battle of Dazar'alor and why should you care about them?\r\rThis is a huge problem with the whole of BfA's story that third-party sites shouldn't have to amend.
Grong's story is so sad. :(
This is nice. I kinda wish we had this for Uldir as why the alliance are even there and stuff is a mystery unless you played the horde story zones.\r\rCorrect me if I am wrong, but I believe that there was lore around Brann and the blood trolls in the Alliance Campaign into Nazmir. We follow Brann to discover what happened to some of their soldiers. He discovers that they were sacrificed and the alliance leader was influenced by the trolls. This then sparked him to investigate the area and discover the Underrot. Somehow this lead to Uldir. It isn't the cleanest story\/explanation but it does show us how he got to Uldir. I just wish that there was some lore explanation after we killed G'huun :\/
''and is considered to be the most powerful human sorceress alive.''\r\r\rI always knew
\rWhy they decided to kill Rastakhan is beyond me.\r\rWithout him, it would be hard to have Talanji have a decent character progression. It's the same as with killing Varian to make space for Anduin.

Who are the major characters in Battle of Dazar'alor and why should you care about them?\r\rThis is a huge problem with the whole of BfA's story that third-party sites shouldn't have to amend.\r\rWhy is that? I thought allowing the player to have a different experience by playing different factions or classes added depth to the game. I didn't hear people complaining about having to play each of the 12 classes in Legion to get the whole story. Remember, we're playing as one individual with one point of view in a big wide complex world. Would you really prefer both the Alliance and Horde to have exactly the same story for the whole expansion?\r\rYou think you want complex interconnected stories that weave in and out of each other in which your choices and actions have consequences. But you really don't.
looking forward to see the cinematics, i am not really a fan of fighting jaina as last boss but if we can get at least decents cinematics of her being badass is all good. \r\rbut i got to say, i am extremely demotivated to do the raid, maybe is just me not wanting to fight my heros.\rthe mounts looks awesome, but i can farm that later.
Nice!I play Warcraft since Warcraft 2, always had a main Ally and a main Horde char on WoW, Just to play through both factions.Always loved the lore, the books, but can't read all the HQs because It was difficult to find in my language or It was expensive in my country. This kind of post is really helpful to all of us. :DBtw, I'm really excited for fight against Jaina, and happy she will ran away to safety. lolAnd... as a Ally player, Grong's story really makes me sad. More than Rezan during the Horde leveling :(

I just wish that there was some lore explanation after we killed G'huun :\/\r\rNah, it doesn't. This entire storyline is just WoW-ized version of "Hearth of Darkness" novel, and Brann doesn't show ANY interest about force behind blood trolls. He doesn't even notice Uldir existence, despite finall quests of the chapter takes place at it's footsteps. There isn't any investigation about what all this "G'huun" that blood trolls keep talking about is, any exploration of area, even name "Uldir" doesn't appear. In fact, it appears exacly ONCE for Alliance character before entering Underrot (which you don't enter during normal, story-driven gameplay anyway), right at start of leveling, when Magni gives you Heart of Azeroth... and only if you happen to talk to damaged Maid (the one studded on the crystal spike) in Chamber of the Heart. \rAlso, leaders of Alliance don't show any interest in both G'huun and danger benath sands of Vol'dun (Alliance character is literally informed about Mythrax in Sethrak quest chain during initial Vol'dun chapter), despite they are given information about them right under nose by player's character...
''and is considered to be the most powerful human sorceress alive.'' \r\rShe's stronger than Khadgar?
''and is considered to be the most powerful human sorceress alive.'' \r\rShe's stronger than Khadgar?\r\rsorceress means "human female" so yes, she is the strongest sorceress, that doesn't mean that she is stronger than khadgar. but they are close.

Play the game and everything is presented to you. Choosing to blind yourself to half the story and then complaining that someone else had to explain the story to you is a moot point

After the Horde questing experience and killing G'huun he was totally fine with the Horde.\r\r\r\rWhy they decided to kill Rastakhan is beyond me.\r\rWithout him, it would be hard to have Talanji have a decent character progression. It's the same as with killing Varian to make space for Anduin.\r\rThey could've easily made the story to where Rastakhan survives, Talanji didn't even need to exist really.
